    Tried to order a prescription online but got a message stating that I needed a medication review. Had the same thing happen last year with no forewarning and was told to order it via custom request rather than repeat. Did that and rang Monday morning to see if it had gone through. Prescription clerk said that it had so you’d think all was good? Nope!! Received a text on Wednesday afternoon saying I had to phone for a telephone appointment with my GP! Rang and told that my doctor was not in until the following day and to call then. I work shift work and am back at work tomorrow on a busy front desk and cannot just walk off the job. Cut no ice! Advised them that my meds were running out and needed them urgently before the weekend. Cut no ice. Told them that I had spoken to the prescription clerk two days prior and she said all was in order. Cut no ice. This practice has become a joke since Covid and do nothing but make it impossible for working patients to get a decent service! By the way, the new practice website states that they will make contact with you when a medication review is required but I received no communication at all. At least on the old website you could request one online.

    I hear my colleagues and friends morning about their surgery but I can find nothing to criticise about this practise. It is the best. Everybody that works here is compassionate, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, They listen, they are patient and care. The struggle people sometimes have to get an appointment is out of their hands and they do everything they can to try and ensure you get one or advice where possible. They couldn’t work any harder. I have been at this pre rise since 1960 and wouldn’t go anywhere else. I rang on Mo Fay of this week for a telephone appointment my doctor called back as promised and helped me with my sickness, and took the time to recommend food that might help and then to discuss my current medication. Everything he advised helped and I am on the way to recovery.

    My actual doctor is great. The reception staff seem to do their job, but my God, why is it so difficult to get some advice?? I understand all practices are under pressure, and appointments are scarce...so why is there no way of speaking to someone online? No email, no e-coms system, I'm fairly lucky as most of the time my issue doesn't need to be 'seen' by anyone, so why can't I just pass a few messages back and forth? I get that many people want to see or speak to a someone 'live', but there must be a bit ol' chunk of people who could resolve their problem through a couple of messages. Come on Houghton Regis Medical Center, I'm sick of calling at 08:05, waiting 20 minutes in a queue to be told there's no appointments left and there's no way of leaving a message for the doctor etc, try again tomorrow. I really, really don't want to move to another practice but this is getting ridiculous.

    My GP seems to think it’s a good idea to leave me without my anxiety medication and without my cardiac BP medication while she ignores my prescription requests repeatedly for a week with no communication of any kind. Never any appointments to actually go in and discuss with her so will just have to do without until I am seen as worthy enough to receive her grace. Will be making a formal complaint. Reception staff on the other had have been amazing putting up with my nagging phone calls!

    Saw GP with bad infected bite. GP spent a while checking it out and issuing antibiotics. He checked up on me the following day

    My Doctor was very kind, thorough, professional and proactive during this visit as she is every time I have to see her. I feel very lucky to have her looking after my health.
