So everytime I speak to my docter she says yes make a face to face anytime . Ring reception to do this and the receptionist says .. the manager won’t let us make face to face appointments , has to be a phone call first then if they think I need a face to face I can make one but it can only be on a Thursday night or a Saturday . That goes against what reception told me last time I was in there , it goes against what my docter told me , so who’s correct . They make it up as the go along

My wife and I have been looked after by this surgery for many years and have always had an excellent service. Most recently, I decided to ask whether recent blood test results required any changes to the medication prescribed some time ago. I sent an email in the morning and within 35 minutes had a reply that my query had been put on to my GP's list. Just 5 minutes later he was on the phone! He dealt with my query with his usual courtesy and thoroughness, and all was sorted within a matter of minutes. Yet another example of much-appreciated excellent service.

So to get an appointment face to face it has to be aon the day appointment , so I take that as it needs to be an emergency . So if I want to have a face to face cause I sick of being dealt with by text - yes by text they text you . I have to plan being ill or have no chance of getting a face to face And then after 5 years of being able to get into my on line account it’s not got an issue and I have to go in with ID - why can’t this be done by text , so let’s have this correct , illness , issues problems can be dealt with by text .. couldnt it be anyone in the text .. but to get access to my online account that I’ve had for 5 years I have to go in .. what a shambles - you actually couldn’t make it up

I needed to get my Mum registered with a GP urgently in order for her to be discharged from hospital in Bristol into my care. Despite it being late on a Friday afternoon, the Practice Management and Reception team at Huntingdon Road Surgery went way over and above to make sure she was registered in time. I am so grateful to them for their kindness and professionalism and cannot thank them enough.

I feel very fortunate to be registered with this practice. I have found it straightforward to get an appointment to see a Doctor when I have needed one and feel reassured by the competent way my symptoms have been assessed and investigations/treatment arranged. The team are, in my opinion, providing an excellent service for which I am very grateful.

Being affiliated with another practice in Cambridge as an expatriate family of five, I can honestly say that Huntingdon Road Surgery has been the most reliable healthcare provider for our family's medical needs since we joined their practice over a year ago. Their responsiveness, knowledge, and resources are exceptional when it comes to helping us with our family's health needs and I have full confidence in their advice. Recently, I contacted them about a condition I was under care for in our former country. Since it had been more than four years and I had never addressed it with a UK physician since we arrived, I believed I would have to start all over again. However, one of their physicians responded promptly to my request and initiated immediate action on my behalf! This is just one instance of their quick and efficient approach, but it's not unusual for them to address all our concerns with the same fervency. As long as we remain in the Eddington area, we will be proud patients of the Huntingdon Road Surgery and strongly recommend that new families in the area also choose this practice with complete confidence for their family's care. Appreciate everything the NHS does for us, but wanted to leave some feedback for improvement. My elderly mother had a fall and photos sent across, whereby it looked like a broken wrist. This was established before noon and an X-Ray was to be booked by the GP. By around 4pm, we hadn't heard back, so called and were held in a 30 minute queue. It transpired that there wasn't an urgent notification with the referral, so it hadn't been processed. We were left with the option of going to A&E, which wasn't ideal at that time, as my mum was already feeling tired. We were told about an walk in hospital in Ely, but didn't think we could get there in time. The whole process could have been better with alerts/notifications along the way, or if we were told to call back by a certain time.

Had an annual checkup yesterday conducted by a nurse. A ever very professionally conducted and in a very friendly way. A follow up chat with my GP was arranged at my request. That took place the following day and my query was fully explored and I felt very satisfied. I and my family have been patients at this surgery for nearly 40 years. Every GP we have seen in this long time has been superb, I recommend this surgery to anyone.

Used to be extremely proud to be in this practice but lately it has gone beyond recognition. After finally agreeing I needed a doctors appointment (and that was no mean feat !) I was left waiting for them to allocate one for days with no contact finally got one for 3 weeks later only for it to be cancelled the day before. Another has been made for another 3 weeks time . In the mean time I’m left to manage symptoms affecting daily life. No wonder a+e isbso overrun . Waiting 7 weeks to see a gp is shocking

We transferred our elderly parents to this surgery a couple of years ago and we are so pleased that we did. The service we have received has always been helpful, understanding and courteous. The response to any email is fast and comes with a response from the GP as necessary. The GP's are always willing to make home visits to our parents, which has been invaluable and the District Nurses are involved when the need arises. We are so grateful to everyone involved in this practice.
