    I have needed an item on my prescription since Christmas Day.Hopefully I am going to receive it today. Pharmacy says last month’s prescription was received on 27th November. Administration at surgery told me just now that it was December 2nd. The point is that I am without an item.I ordered this month’s prescription on 17th December. I ran out of one item on Christmas Day. Surely the date on this prescription could be altered by one or two days so that I am never caught out like this again? I understand the NHS guidelines say that the doctor can only give the prescription for 28 days( so I am told by the surgery). All I am asking is that never again am I left without medication. Thank you.

    Had a phone appointment with gp,after some worrying symptoms.he listened and followed up with blood pressure.full bloods and ECG .Reception staff and nurses were also really supportive just waiting results but happy with support so far

    Rang the practice at 10am for a repeat prescription, informed I was caller no.1 30mins later still caller no.1 walked to Drs and spoke to receptionist asked if there was a problem with telephones as I had been hanging on for over 43min by now. She said they were very busy, its worrying that they hadn't answered a phone call in nearly 3/4 of an hour. What if this was a medical emergency. This has happened on numerous occasions in the past.
