Why is Stoneleigh advertising for new patients when patients like my husband and myself, who have been with you for years, cannot get an appointment is less than two weeks? My husband had an X-Ray for a very painful joint and results are still not available almost two weeks later. He can't get an appointment with a doctor for two weeks.

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback which is invaluable to us and sorry to hear that your experience has fall short of our usual high standards. As a practice we continually review our feedback to see what changes we can implement to improve patient experience. Some of the changes we have recently implemented are: 1) Launch of our new website which is much more interactive and contains a lot of useful information for patients 2) Introduction of our ‘triaging’ appointments – these non-urgent telephone consultation appointments will enable a clinician to review the issue and manage this with the patient more effectively over the telephone 3) Encouraging sign-up and use of the NHS App – this platform enables the patient to do so much including booking appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions and viewing test results 4) Recruitment of more GPs We are also reviewing the service provision across our four sites and increasing the level of clinical staffing including GPs, Nurses and Health Care Assistants We are also encouraging patients to cancel their appointment if they are unable to attend as these can be made available for other patients to use. Last month our ‘Did Not Attend’ number was 527 We hope these changes will help improve your experience with the practice in the future. Kind Regards L Batson Patient Feedback Lead
