    I got my subscription within about 20 minutes of me first registering my symptoms online. A lovely GP called me up in 15 minutes and located my nearest pharmacy for me to pick up my medicine. Super easy and very impressed with the entire service - thank you :)

    This is a GP practice that has an excellent team of General Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals. The GPs truly care for you and will go above and beyond to reach you, inform you and provide you the best medical care (even if it’s past their closing time at 7pm!). The reception staff are fantastic. During the Pandemic and post pandemic, the Practice has remained open, and despite the challenges they have faced - the level of patient care has never been compromised. The practice remains open to feedback and continues to make changes to improve the level of patient centred care available. I cannot fault the level of care I have received for the most part of the last 15 years. If only the general public truly knew the lengths you are all going to, to look after your patients under the increasing challenges the NHS faces. Thank you for always going above and beyond for me and my family.

    I am pregnant and trying to book my 16 week midwife appointment. I have been told by the midwife team to reach out to the GP practice and they will book it. It's so hard to get in touch with them. Also the working hours are 9.00-17.30 on their site and when I call that is the pre-recorded message as well. However, they would be closed at 15.00 or 14.00 randomly - and I am on the phone receiving the message at 14.00 "Our clinic is closed. Working hours are 9.00-17.30". Not sure how they get away with it - most people cannot just disappear in the middle of their working hours.

    I have had a pleasant and friendly experience here whether it be in person or on the phone with the doctors are this surgery who take me seriously and speak to me with care. I also have trouble with blood tests as I have very tiny veins in my arms and so it takes a while usually, but the lady here is so quick and makes me feel very comfortable (unfortunately I am not allowed to leave names on the review, but she is great!)

    I am extremely disappointed with the level of service provided by Island Health. It has been nearly impossible for me to get an appointment, as the online services are constantly broken and no one answers the phones. I have spent hours stuck in a queue position, trying on multiple days to get through. When I walked into the office in person, I was met with chaos and disorganization. It seems as though this medical practice is more like a lifestyle establishment, with doctors and staff coming and going as they please. This is completely unacceptable, and I strongly urge management to address these issues immediately. The lack of reliable healthcare is unacceptable, and it is clear that the management at Island Health is failing to provide adequate service to patients.

    Thank you for your review. We are pleased to inform you Island Health is now under new management. The new Practice Manager's first priority was to implement a new telephone system which went live on the 16.12.2022. The e-consults are available at 8am however these are closed once the surgery reaches capacity. We appreciate this is frustrating but we have a duty of care to practice safely for both staff and patients. We hope this goes some way in answering your review. If you would like to discuss this further the management team will be happy to meet with you.

    I've been on hold for over an hour today, trying to book an appointment for the date/time advised by my GP in my last appointment. First appointment they can giver me is over 4 weeks away! This is beyond ridiculous now - Covid pandemic is, for the most part, "over" so Island Health needs to get its act together - people need doctors!! :(

    Dear patient Thank you for leaving this feedback it is important to us. We have listened to out patients and as a result we had a new telephony system installed December 2022, were more of our team can answer calls at anyone time and patients have the options to have call back. We have seen a dramatic reduction in our call wait times. we also operate a same day appointment system and 7 day pre bookable appointments to avoid the 4 week delay.     Treated with care & respect and more importantly swiftly. Treatment in the surgery is too class, if there is one criticism it is the waiting time to answer the phone, it was 45 minutes.
