I have phoned on multiple occasions and not been able to get an appointment when I do get through to the doctors the receptionist asks questions about my symptoms and is rude when you say you don't want to discuss with them even though by law you don't have to. Then they get to decide whether you need an appointment or not someone who has no medical training gets to decide whether your ill enough to see a doctor. When did someone else get to decide whether you should see a doctor, not to mention decide whether your symptoms are bad enough. The last time they said I don't have bad enough symptoms I ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance. The doctors themselves and the nurses are great at this surgery I can't fault them atall. But the receptionist and the system put in place are ridiculous. Not worker friendly. Not parent friendly and dehumanising.

I used to like this doctors, but in the last couple of years it feels like the practice has definitely gone downhill, and made it extremely difficult for people who work odd hours/ out of Ipswich to be seen. - The on the day booking service, split between phoning 8am for morning appointments and 12:30pm for afternoon appointments makes it almost impossible for anyone who has to leave the house before 8am/ works outside Ipswich to book an appointment for on the day. - Despite saying they are open till 6:30pm when asking for the latest appointment available always seems to be 3:30/4 pm (again not great when you work out of Ipswich) - When ive mentioned in the past on the day booking is hard, I was referred to the e-consult service. This is now only available during the doctors working hours. You would think you could at least submit the form in evenings / weekends but no. - Even when submitting e-consults – ive either had no response, or a message… to book an appointment!

Recently, I have wanted to see a doctor and have found the service Ivry Street offers, works seamlessly to this end. Polite and cheery receptionists, immediate appointment and a follow up appointment in just a few weeks. Nurses taking bloods start really early but you wouldn't know it, they are so happy and eager to give 100% attention. The doctor I saw went through results thoroughly and made sure I understood exactly what each result indicated. I feel very lucky to be a part of this practice. Thank you everyone!

Impossible to get an appointment, they tell you they'll call you back *at any time* and expect you to be looking at your phone 24/7 because they won't call for more than 5 seconds, or leave a voicemail. Then you can reception and they keep postponing the appointment and threaten you (they literally told me "ok this is your last chance so you better be ready") to be fully available. They told me "they'll call you back now" and it's been 20 minutes that I've been looking at my phone as I'm scared I'll miss another call. They do not respect patients time at all and sometimes they make other practices call you that I can reach (they tried to give me an appointment in a practice that's 50 minutes away walking for me). Terrible service, I won't be using it any longer, calling 111 is the best option if you're registered with this practice that simply don't want to work or make any efforts to offer a quality service.
