I called the GP at 08h in the morning suffering with pain and fever,111 send report in the system so will be easy for me to book appointment(I called the GP 3 times in 2 weeks to book appointment and they said we haven't any appointments available you should go to any pharmacy to buy medicines) I do what they ask me to do and I go to 4 pharmacies and they refuse to give me anything they said in your case you should go to doctor as I'm suffering from sinuses,allergy and pain in my both shoulders,and I explained everything to the reception this morning and she said that she booked phone appointment for me keep your phone with you and the doctor will call you and that's what I do all the day waiting for doctor until 15h,I called the GP to see what happend as I didn't receive any call,they tell me there us no appointment booked for me I should call in the morning (tomorrow),this is right???as a British and as a human to happend to me???just want explanation,when I ask for the name of the receptionist that she talked to me this morning she tell me I dont know???and she refuses to give me her name... Please want explanation and help

I have been with this practice for nearly 40 years and have always had amazing service. On this occasion I spoke to the practice last week about a sick note (which was dealt with perfectly) and at the same time asked for a salbutamol inhaler, as I have been using mine a lot. I was given the prescription but was also given an appointment to see the nurse about my “asthma”. Went for the appointment today and the nurse listened to me, as I thought it was a chest infection, rather than asthma. She did some checks, agreed with me and arranged for me to see the doctor. I saw the doctor, who checked me out, agreed it was a chest infection and gave me a prescription for antibiotics, which I picked up straightaway from the attached pharmacy. I was only in the building for 40 minutes and everything was sorted. This is typical of my experience over the past 40 years! They listen, check things out and are very thorough. Amazing service!

I’ve been waiting all day for my phone consultation and even rang back just before closing for lunch to be told the doctor will ring me soon, the practice is now closed and I can’t get hold of anyone this is extremely stressful and unprofessional

Thank you for your feedback, to follow this up could you please contact the Practice Manager at the surgery. An audit has been done of the appointments and there were none that were left not completed.

To keep it brief, the staff there on reception were so helpful and kind when enquiring about seeing the GP, and also in follow up help (referral letter). The GP I saw took time to put me at ease and also to listen to my problems. She offered me options of ways forward and allowed me to make that decision with her support. I am really grateful as this appointment has allowed me to get the assistance I need. I have never yet had a bad experience with any of the Support Staff or the Medical Staff.

A big thanks to the receptionists who helped me when I went on holiday to Wales and forgot my medication. They were kind and efficient and it was sorted by 4pm that afternoon. The V consult option and phone triage are excellent and so helpful when I'm at work as means I can get an appointment earlier as I don't have to physically get to the surgery. The doctors I have met have always been very professional, caring and helpful. Thanks Jiggins Lane Medical Centre
