  1. Review titled Disgraceful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jenny Baker - Posted on 20 April 2023

Tried numerous times in the last three /four weeks to get and appointment, hanging on the phone for 45 minutes to be told there are no appointments cannot even get a non urgent appointment. Test results were inconclusive sent via text from a G P I have never heard of. I just want answers, we have been with this practice for 30 yrs . I still can’t get to the root of my problem and at 76yrs I suppose as I am old I am not important.

  2. Review titled Not able to speak or visit a GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Carl Chidgey - Posted on 10 February 2023

Unable to speak or visit a GP - having tried for 3 days to get an appointment I finally got through this morning- 6 in queue. Didn’t make any difference as told the Duty GP would contact me - they did 5 hours later at 13:35 by text. GP asked a couple of questions and replied by text telling me to go to the pharmacist. No right of reply as text is one way from the GP - so couldn’t explain I went to the pharmacist yesterday and was told I needed a prescription. Left high and dry and back to square 1. Total disgrace and pathetic service

Dear Carl I am sorry to see that you have struggled to contact the Practice via the telephone. We are currently experiencing increased demand on our telephone lines and our care navigation team has been working very hard to answer calls under the additional pressure. I recognise that difficulties in accessing the Practice can be extremely frustrating for our patients and I apologise unreservedly for any upset or inconvenience. You can also request an appointment by attending the Practice reception from 8am or using our online option. Kind regards Patient Experience Team

  3. Review titled Not fit for purpose

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2023

My wife, who has recently suffered a stroke, is attempting to get her blood pressure under control. Further contact with her GP, who prescribed her initial medication by phone, has been impossible. Written correspondence does not get answered and having spent 30 minutes on the phone this morning, the receptionist finally responded by saying there were no appointments and unceremoniously cut the line. Since joining Modality this surgery is no longer fit for purpose and needs an urgent revue by CQC.

  4. Review titled Terrible customer service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 January 2023

Sadly, the service provide as far as the reception and telephone is terrible. I never manage to get though even when holding for over 30 mins. I have tried on many occasion and it’s always the same. If I do get though they seem unable to make bookings or answer my questions. My mother is very hard of hearing yet time and time again they tell her to phone which is Impossible. Use to be so much better.

  5. Review titled Hopeless

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 January 2023

I receive a text telling me there's a message at reception for me regarding my prescription. I try ringing and in 30 min I've gone from 3 to 2 in the queue. Do they not realise that their patients work too and can't sit on the phone all day, obviously not. Will I get my prescription? I doubt it.

  6. Review titled Useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John - Posted on 31 January 2023

Phoned at 8.31 and after 20mins in the queue I'd moved up 13 places. Then I was told there were no more appointments. What sort of service can only provide 15 appointments a day?

  7. Review titled Sadly unhelpful and frustrating

Rated 2 stars out of 5

    by Natalie W - Posted on 27 January 2023

My 93 year old mother lives independently and for some bizarre reason I have been getting text messages from the practice. They know she lives alone and that my mobile should not be used to contact her. I had a message asking for her to take her blood pressure. Not one person has discussed this with her. I am trying to call the practice. Not a chance. If they contact via text, why can’t I have a text number to reply to? The online for. Only is for a reading, not support. My mother cannot cope with this. Ridiculously poorly thought out. I have now simply been cut off whilst waiting in the queue. Shocking. And if I get a cut and paste reply to this post it will be even worse.

  8. Review titled No appointments available

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2022

In the surgery I told the receptionist that I had side effects that the prescription drug leaflet said "Inform your Dr immediately". I suffer from chronic kidney disease and a cancer.... Was told that I needed to ring in the morning (apparently my best "hope" was to call at 08:00). No appointments available. It is clear that the business model is to put people off seeking medical assistance and take your chances. This used to be a fantastic surgery. I feel sorry for the staff who too must feel exasperated.

  9. Review titled Telephones are under serviced

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 November 2022

I have had terribly long waits on the phone to speak to the service team. To say they are receiving unusual large demand or high number of calls, clearly indicates to me they haven't got enough people on the phones. I have been to two practices with Modality, and in both cases, even attending the surgery, they only have one person at the Reception desk, and no other support, long queues going out the door in both cases, I waited 15 mins just to get to the front. Modality just aren't employing sufficient numbers on their services team. There is only one efficiency here and its not for the patients benefit. I am very worried at the decline of the GP service access. No idea how the funding works now its all changed but this is so concerning. I think Modality are a barrier to access and people's health is going to be seriously affected. Any metrics for measuring that?

  10. Review titled Judges Close Surgery sicker than the patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 November 2022

I Gave up waiting on the phone and went to the surgery .First response from Jcs is to fob you off . They couldn't see me on the day which is fair enough . They said they were too busy although there was just 1 person in the upper waiting room . So I asked when I could get an appointment but their policy is I cant book in advance even though I was standing there and said I can make any day . The only choices given was call back in the morning with everyone else trying to get though , or go to Crawley or call an ambulance . This is after telling them my symptoms within 3 feet of the queue for the pharmacy . I would suggest Rydon Homes keep Jcs on their radar . This place would be more useful as a block of flats .
