  3. Review titled Don’t feel listened to

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 May 2024

I visited for a review following medication change , not sure I was listened or he took my whole health into consideration, felt like I was begging…. To be heard. On checking the consultation I was definitely pre judged because I looked ok and talked ok( it took all my energy to focus and attend ( problem is I can mask with the best, done it for years, you know what is expected… they don’t want to see the you with casual clothes on, hair not brushed, cor even not showered , who has isolated themselves because they are fed up of themselves . I’m not a shirker, this is the worst time of health in my life, I just want to feel normal again not looked at as overweight, lazy. No one needs to be told just try and do something, look to being back at work it’s the best thing for you, But when you are in the space in your head you’ve already tried most things and it’s your last resort to go to the GP. You have burnt out from trying and failing due to symptoms making you miss work, If I didn’t have all the symptoms I would be at work, I would be socialising, able to do the smallest task like wash my hair without feeling like I have run a marathon and my HR OVER 130, it’s no life, feeling so pathetic but to come away from an appointment feeling worse and unheard , I’m sad to have to write this. But hopefully it makes a difference for just one person

  5. Review titled Great practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Theresa Reed - Posted on 16 May 2024

Had a Doctors Appointment, which was made the week before ,I arrived just before my time but the Doctor was running 12 mins late on my arrival so I waited my turn which wasn’t a problem for me as I did not need to be anywhere else . I hadn’t seen this Doctor before but she made me feel comfortable enough to talk to and explain my problem. After explaining to me that there is an order in which they have to go through medication was prescribed, and a stool and blood test was requested. This Doctor gave me her time and I didn’t feel rushed .Very nice lady .

  6. Review titled Exceptional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This surgery, the website, and its lovely staff make it easy to access what I need. I feel valued, and treated as an individual. I used the online facility for the first time, and was very impressed to get a detailed response the next day.

  7. Review titled Embarrassing!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

    by Motherof4 - Posted on 19 June 2024

Went for an intimate examination. Doc asked me, in front of another member of staff, was I ‘bothered’ by my excess skin (labia). I told her I was, for her to turn round and say, “well, there’s nothing that could be done anyway.” Why bother passing comment then??!! I’m now ashamed, embarrassed and too nervous to go anywhere near my husband. Thanks for that.

  10. Review titled Outstanding assistance

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rudo - Posted on 09 May 2024

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Michelle the assistance at chace avenue. I was very sick experiencing piercings pains from my spin to my chest. Michelle told me that the surgery was fully booked but with my explanation I should go to the walk in centre or the a&e. After some 10 mins she called that she had ground out of hour cancellation. I met an amazing doctor requested for an ecg and blood pressure monitor as my blood pressure was 160/110. In the morning I called spoke to a lady who said we are fully booked. I asked to speak to Michelle who knew my situation from the day before. She found space for me to see the nurse. Michelle took her self into my situation she served my life . Just going above and beyond with her care am at home and feeling better. From her greeting to the end end of my conversation I felt being cared for. Thanks Michelle you bring the best at Kenyon medical center. We need more like Michelle. Not we are fully booked and put the phone down do more like Michelle.
