I recently attended the surgery for a medical examination. This was undertaken well and a diagnosis was given. However the advice following this was very poor. I asked about whether I should continue with regular exercise and was informed that she couldnt commit to saying whether I should or not continue this and I would need to speak to another practitioner . However there was a 2 -3 month waiting list for this intervention. I asked about pelvic floor exercises and again was told that she couldn`t commit to suggesting any. I find the lack of advice from a doctor to be unacceptable. I was also told that losing weight may help which I was astounded at, given that I have lost 5 stone and am now at a favourable BMI for the first time in years. When I tried to ask further questions about my condition and which pelvic floor exercises I should do I was told my 15 minutes was up and there were others she needed to see. Also that someone had come early for their appointment and had already been waiting a long time. I had waited 30 mins for my appointment. This is unacceptable. On the way out I saw the nurse practitioner who I know and when I mentioned my condition they asked if a referral had been made to the surgery`s pelvic floor physio. This was never mentioned. When you consider that Killamarsh only has the equivalent of 2.5 GPs and this appears to be the quality of advice being given by one of them, I feel the service offered to the community is poor .

Having just relocated to Killamarsh from Wiltshire, I found the practice very professional and they have addressed my registration and medical needs extremely well with prompt attention to a condition causing some discomfort. Thank you.

Doctor very ignorant toward my mum didnt seem interested about my condition couldn't get us out of door quick enough very poor service from the doctor

I have recently seen the Dr (July 2024) and I received excellent service. She was incredibly supportive, totally professional, listened. This was a follow up appointment. She has tried different medications until the condition now seems to be under control & bearable, and the best I have felt for over 2 years. Thank you

I filled in a econsultation on line got a reply with several different links to other services and a invite to make an appointment I had to wait two weeks for the appointment in the appointment the GP listen to me and recommend some meditation and also booked a follow up phone call two weeks later my confidence in the practice is starting to grow again after a few bad experiences

Dr h h, was fantastic with my daughter nothing was too much trouble. She sorted a couple of issues out whilst we were there. That the previous visits to the prescribers were strict on previous appointments and wouldn’t sort more than one issue out . Fantastic dr and service

Following a cancer diagnosis the surgery proactively contacted me and asked if I would like a telephone appointment with a doctor to discuss my situation and see if there was any support they could offer. I accepted and had a good conversation with a GP who then offered me a face to face appointment so she could review further. During the second appointment she addressed all my concerns (and I had a few!) professionally and with compassion. For me, the reaching out and the follow up was great as it really put my mind at ease during a difficult time, thank you very much.
