  1. Review titled Cervical Screening

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katie - Posted on 08 August 2024

The sister who completed my cervical screening did so very quickly but with real care and attention. Her friendliness and professionalism really put me at ease, and I was in and out within about five minutes. Thank you

  2. Review titled Speechless!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Naomi - Posted on 06 August 2024

After waiting 45 to cancel an appointment, as my child stated they wanted to see the doctor that had seen them on numerous occasions for the same condition. Advised I couldn’t pre-book to see this doctor. When I then asked representative for advice, he said “ring at 8am, next Tuesday, he is only working that day”. Previously, I have set the alarm for midnight to use the automated booking system, but this no longer exists. So like everyone else I join the 8am queue…after another 45 minutes of waiting I am told there is no appointments, I need to ring back next week! So when I was told by the GP that he wanted to re-asses my daughters medicine (been ill for nearly five months now, had various tests and medication).I am told “it doesn’t work like that, as there are no appointments available”. I honestly feel I no longer matter, our health service doesn’t care my daughter doesn’t want to explain her condition to yet another professional, she wants someone to care…is that too much to ask? I have been with this practice since it collaborated 17 years ago and I feel like trying to get an appointment is a challenge in itself. When you’re ill you don’t want to fight to see a doctor, no matter what your age, you want someone to listen to you and care and I think this is where it’s gone wrong. There are too many patients and not enough doctors…Kings has gone down hill. The patient no longer comes first.

  4. Review titled Change of appointment time

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2024

Unfortunately had a poor experience this morning. I rang to book an appointment, and luckily got one (can’t fault the service there). However upon arrival of my appointment time, that was confirmed on text, the appointment had been changed to 30 minutes later without notifying me. Although not a massive deal, it would have been good to have been liaised with regarding this, due to other commitments/appointments elsewhere.

  7. Review titled Brilliant service - again.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Mrs G - Posted on 30 April 2024

I got an appointment within a week, for a potential serious, and also delicate issue. The nurse explained everything to me before carrying out a minor procedure, and went to get a Gp for a second opinion. I was left feeling dignified throughout, and they both fully explained the situation, their thoughts, what was going to happen next and reassured me, explaining what I can do in the meantime. I then got a follow up call re question I had done bloods taken, which was only 2 days later. A similar situation happened in 2023 and again, I can’t fault the service and care.

  8. Review titled The receptionist make make life or death decisions

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Shaun Walsh - Posted on 01 March 2024

Reported my blood pressure to receptionist as being excessively high. She offered an appointment at 17:15pm. My wife expressed concern at possible heart attack to be told that’s earliest we can do. Go to A&E if gets worse.. went to UTC at Pontefract to then be taken to Pinderfirlds A&E on an ambulance due to excessive high blood pressure and unstable ECG.
