  2. Review titled Awful Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 November 2023

I’ve been coming to this doctors surgery for a while now and it just gets more and more shocking every time I have an appointment. I was due to be seen at 10:15 for a quick appointment regarding my contraception and was left waiting for around an hour to be seen, and I was due back at work. Another patient was then put forward after only just checking in for their appointment so I was then pushed back even later for my appointment which is just not on. How someone is allowed to jump into someone else’s appointment is beyond me. I complained to the receptionist and they was of no help telling me I would be after the next lady which took another 15 minutes. Other patients were left waiting 40-45 minutes for their appointments. This doctors surgery is appalling.

  3. Review titled Poor Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Whitney Harris - Posted on 28 June 2023

Called the 8th June to book an appointment to have my implant changed as it expires 23/06. I was told I needed to speak to a doctor first and I would get a call on the 27th June, 27th comes and goes no call. I call reception today (28th) to be told no appoiment had been booked and I would now have to wait untill 11th July. Funny thing is the receptionist I spoke to today was the same receptionist who “booked” my phone call appointment for the 27th. Won’t be holding my breath for the call back.

  4. Review titled 40 Year Old MOT

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Philip Burrows - Posted on 06 December 2022

I'm not too sure what I should have expected from the Health MOT that I attended. Was I supposed to be given a score in the appointment or is there a follow up appointment when my blood tests come back? I'm comparing what happened in the appointment to what's available on the website and there seems to be a mismatch. The website seems more holistic and gives good advice, whereas my experience in practice was to answer a few standard questions, have a few tests and get out. There was no explanation of why the health MOT was happening, what I should expect or any discussion about lifestyle changes. It was a somewhat underwhelming experience, especially when the NHS website says to set aside 20-30 minutes. I was in and out within about 5, which was remarkably quick given that the nurse said she had had so many cancelations that day

  5. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Amazing and swift service received today for my son. Took a few attempts to get through at 8am, but then appointment was booked for the morning, had a call with GP in 30mins, prescription issued. Pharmacy were unable to get medication due to national shortage, I called surgery back, alternative issued very quickly and I now have his antibiotics. Amazing and helpful reception staff as well as very understanding GP. I cannot fault this practice. They have helped me every time I call.

  6. Review titled Great service.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jane - Posted on 24 November 2022

I wasn’t sure whether to try and get a GP appt so went onto my NHS app yesterday afternoon. Entered my symptoms etc and it sends to the doctor with a 48 hour response time. By 7 pm last night I had a text from the surgery giving me a 10.30 face to face appt. Been in, prescription for antibiotics and an inhaler sent electronically to my pharmacy, ready by the time I got there. I know using apps etc doesn’t suit everyone but it worked well for me - highly recommend it.

  7. Review titled Good Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Janet Fryatt - Posted on 27 October 2022

I recently contacted the practice to discuss my very elderly mother's health issues. I was given a telephone review appointment for the same day. The GP I spoke with listened to me, was caring and helpful and able to reassure me of any ongoing care my mother may need. Also the very next day he went to her house to see her for himself. In this current time when we seem to hear only negative comments about our health service I can only say this practice is giving the very best of care in difficult times.

  8. Review titled Doctors and receptionists genuinely care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jacki - Posted on 17 October 2022

I cannot recommend them highly enough and was surprised to see some poor reviews. Yes, we often have to wait in lengthy queue to speak to the receptionist to make an appointment but once I get through they go out of their way to try to find a suitable alternative if all of the GP slots for the day are already taken. For example arranging for me to speak to the pharmacist, arranging a prescription that is not on repeat, or allowing me to book for a doctor I chose if I can wait for the appointment, or advising me to get taken to accident and emergency. I am always so impressed how kind and considerate the receptionists are in what must be a high stress circumstance with so many patients being turned down for appointments that day. I have a consistent GP who is amazing and I always try to see him when I can. However, simply because he's not available and I can't wait, I have now seen at least 5 other GPS and each and every one has treated me with so much care and consideration, that I am constantly surprised that so many nice doctors are at one surgery. They have also managed to handle all of my variety of medical issues very competently and have always given me so much time and attention and truly appeared to care. I have absolute faith that they are outstanding doctors. If I had more energy I would read the CQC report to see why they are only rated as 'good' when they should be 'outstanding'.

  9. Review titled Horrible receptionist/telephone care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 October 2022

I totally understand the NHS is under great amount to pressure but found the receptionist extremely rude when I called about an appointment for my son who was in tears from pain. She told me I should have called earlier. I’m am very disappointed by her lack of understanding or care.
