The whole team at Kingsteignton Medical Practice are just fantastic. The help & support they provide to all our family is amazing. Today I had a doctors appointment to discuss a couple of issues & then needed follow ups. These were arranged really quickly (2 of them for later the same day). A real personalised approach for which my family and I are very grateful to the whole practice team.

Receptionist showed empathy and understanding and helped as much as she could. The DR was kind and reassuring, providing support and listening to all at my concerns. The NHS is struggling, but human kindness and consideration isnt a qualification and today I was shown all of these by both the reception staff and the GP. Thank you all!

I telephoned today (20/12/24) needing a same day appointment. After a short(ish) wait I was greeted in a friendly and polite manner and after a few questions I was offered a much needed appointment. I would like to pass on my thanks the member of staff for the way they handled my call. Being polite, friendly and efficient while doing a pressurised job is a great credit to the individual concerned. Additionally, the nurse practitioner who treated me was a credit to Kingsteignton Medical Practice.

We all know that you guys are working in a very stressful environment, but in all of my interactions with the surgery, I have little to complain about. I am sure that we all yearn for a return to the days where you could see a health professional within a day or so, but we are where we are. I just thought that it was time to say a heart felt thank you to you all. Trust that you have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Tried from 8.30am to use automated cancellation system to cancel 10.20 appointment. Did not accept date of birth, tried lots. It was 10 am before I could get through - 20 mins before appointment time. Pointless waste of my time and believe this contributes to 'no shows'

My two year old attended for her flu vaccine this morning was seen by one of the practice nurses . This PN is clearly experienced with children and used a calm no fuss approach. The vaccine went smoothly, but evidently this is only due to the PNs approach with her calm and collected demeanour and use of desensitisation techniques to ensure my child had a positive experience. These positive experiences are vital in ensuring compliance and positive healthcare monitoring, which in turn protects us from significant heath complaint in the future. Please thank the PN for her kindness and assure her it does not go unnoticed.

The whole process of ordering medicines online is missing positive feedback. It is not clear if and when a request is received / acted on or refused. a simple email at each stage will help considerably otherwise if something is stuck only after a weeks wait for notification not being received from the chemist can it be ascertained as a problem. In addition the waiting area of the surgery while white and clinical is complete with hard surfaces resulting in a lot of echo and even at the extremities it is possible to hear the conversation at reception which was not the case in the past. More soft covering of the walls and floor is required to reduce this.

We rang this morning and the receptionist was extremely helpful and explained clearly the next steps. Later the Dr rang and he too was extremely helpful and gave time to talk us through the situation leaving us feeling listened to and clear about the way forward.
