    Trying to contact this surgery by phone has become an absolute nightmare. My wife and I are both utterly appalled at the length of time it takes the surgery to answer calls. We expect a bit of a delay ar 8 am but today I was left hearing ‘ how important my call is to them’ for 45 minutes. I was number 5 in the queue when I joined it so, on average, each call takes them over 9 minutes to respond. This is a common experience and we find ourselves wondering how we’d cope if we really needed attention or was to I’ll to hang on. Worst thing is, we’re not even convinced the surgery care enough to do something about it. That’s seems apparent when you walk into the Marymead surgery only to find that the reception window has been boarded up - that, to me, seems to leave the message that you’re almost not welcome there anymore. I’d very much like to hear if the surgery manager is managing the totally unacceptable telephone response times and why they think boarding up the reception window was a good idea to them. Clearly I’m not alone at voicing my dissatisfaction of the patient interface arrangements they’ve adopted as I’ve just read the other surgery reviews and they don’t paint a glossy picture either. Would love to hear your response but actually, given your service levels of late, I won’t hold my breath.

    I won’t waste my breath leaving a review as nothing ever gets done. All in all I’ve spent over 3 hours waiting on the phone the last time being cut off after waiting 1.5 hours

    How is anyone supposed to get an appointment??? My husband visited the nurse who said he needed to see a gp. Tried econsult that said get an appointment. 3 days of phoning at 8am being number 16 in the que to be told yet again no appointments available!!! Today they said go to urgent care !! We shouldn't have to you can't make an appointment for a weeks time . You can't get one on the day ! What are we supposed to do ? I have left 3 complaint messages and what a surprise no one has got back to me !!

    They never answer the phone. I have to use 111 for any medical issue as they genuinely do not answer their phone. E-Consult is slow and ineffective. We have now moved surgery.

    Tried twice in as many days to contact Doctors without success. call1 - joined their automated system (caller24) waited for 1hr 17mins before someone could be bothered to answer it. Even then couldnt get beyond receptionist. How the Doctor deemed id be fully recovered without so much a contacting examining me I dont know. Call2 - again queued in the automated system went from caller8 to 2 then nothing, but 30mins of messages telling me to please wait my call is very important, is it!! Its not 1hr13mins since i was told caller number2 and counting! hopefully i dont drop dead in meantime.

    So after completing an e consult for an issue I had I then had to chase it after a week of not hearing anything, even though the confirmation says within 24 hours. I was then sent for a blood test and no consultation was done following these and the doctor just closed the query. The problem was still a concern and I was advised when I called to make a new e consult. Done another one and waited for 4 days, missed my phone call back by seconds, no attempt to try me again or no voicemail left. Then receive a text to say reminder for appointment the next day (after surgery closing hours) no clue what time this appointment is. Ring on the morning of my appointment to be on hold for over 2 hours to then find out I have missed my appointment I knew nothing about!!!!! What an absolutely ridiculous service. If you are giving out phone consults, maybe you could say the call will be between 9-11 for example so at least people could walk away from their phone for a moment. I have been a patient of this surgery for my entire life and I will now be taking myself and my children elsewhere. I do not feel valued or cared about in anyway. Happy for anyone to contact me.

    It would be nice to get a receptionist to answer the phone, three days try to get through and still you can't get to speak to a receptionist let alone a doctor. Absolutely disgusting.
