Review titled Patient care at risk
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Bains - Posted on 08 July 2024
Rang numerous times to chase ulan urgent referral, each time told it will or has been sent. Several months later I rang as I hadn't received any letters or appointment, only to be told it looks like referral hadn't been done or sent. Spoke to the practice manager, who sniggered when I was speaking to him. When I asked why he found it funny, he got defensive and accused me of making it up, even though the calls are apparently recorded. Totally unprofessional of a practice manager to behave in this way.

Review titled Great Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by P L Blower - Posted on 29 December 2023
Personally, I have always found them to be very helpful and accessible - have never felt rushed and have always been able to see nurse/doctor when needed and felt confident in the treatment received. The pressure that the receptionists are under from people needing help can be extreme at times but all do their very best to assist and if on occations things cannot be dealt with immediately they have been dealt with as soon as possible.

Review titled Difficult to seek consultation
Rated 2 stars out of 5

The practice has too many hoops to get through for an appointment since the pandemic. You are put off by a call to the receptionist ( too long a wait, in excess of 1 hour. It is also known that you can get cut off in between to start all over again.). First the doctor needs to talk to you to decide if you genuinely need an appointment or can it be sorted on the phone. Tel appointments are made for you to be available for the whole day. No time given for the doctor's call. If required an appointment may be made with a locum doctor or asked to go to the local A & E, Either this practice has too many patients or few doctors/staff. My family members have moved to another surgery or arranged private medical cover after losing faith in the NHS. In general, once you are through, the service is good.
