    Can’t fault the doctors but getting an appointment is ridiculous. Phone line engaged constantly finally get through and no appointments to ring back the next day. This does not help the working people that have to work long hours and only able to ring on lunch breaks to find surgery is closed for their own lunch break.

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the problems you are having trying to get an appointment. Unfortunately due to high demand there are times when our telephone lines are extremely busy and appointments get booked very early in the day. We have looked into ways that we can improve the system for patients and are in the process of implementing a new telephone system which will inform patients of their place in the queue and will also allow more receptionists to answer calls at anyone time.     I received a text message last week from 'GPSurgery' saying my GP surgery inviting me for a free NHS health check and to book an appointment using the link. As the link expired, the information on the page advised me to contact the GP to book an appointment. The receptionist whom I spoke to was absolutely unhelpful and arrogant. Just didn't want to help, on my face told me that I am not even eligible for the health check and as to why the GP would send a msg to me when I am not eligible. She was extremely rude and shut the phone on my face saying there was no record at all showing that they have sent such a msg. The msg is clearly from 'GPSurgery'. The doctors at the surgery are really good and the reception staff on the other hand are extremely horrible, arrogant and very unhelpful.

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you felt you were spoken to in a rude manner by one of our receptionists. This will be passed on to all our reception team and will be discussed in our team meeting. Regarding your text for NHS Health Checks this is an external service and text are sent from the provider of this service not Laburnum Health Centre. Once again we apologise for how this was handled and will raise this with the external agency to ensure they inform us of any criteria changes that are in place so that our reception staff are aware and can advise patients accordingly.     There is 1 particular GP that in my opinion deserves to be recognised for his outstanding work and support in his work and his commitment to the NHS. I have personally received ongoing support and advice that has really helped and made me feel better physically and mentally.He goes above and beyond to give me advice and support on the issue of the health and wellbeing of myself in a way that is very positive and helpful to me.I have myself personally told him about his excellent practice however I would like to acknowledge him on here. Ty Dr (not sure if I’m allowed to mention your name) .

    While visiting the practice I passed out But I can say the staff were fantastic in my recovery. My blood pressure dropped very low and all the staff made sure I was ok I am so grateful to all of them

    That’s the worse GP which I know . I was there at 8:30am with my daughter 2 years old , which has a cough and temperature for 2 weeks and one of receptionist send me home and said that we have to call them at 8:45 to book an appointment, they don’t book appointment face to face !!! How you can be NHS like this ?? Apart I was calling them yesterday evening , and they said to come today at 8:30, we were but that receptionist sent us home !!! That’s not good at all!!! I will change this sheet of GP.

    I’ve been trying to book an appointment face to face for a week and still nothing ? It’s always busy and fully booked I called over 100 times from 8.40 to 9am for them to tell me it’s fully booked. I need to get checked I’ve been sick for over a month I keep getting referred to different practices I’m so tired. the A&E is rubbish and so are the GP. I think once you die that’s when they will care

The practice regularly looks at our booking systems and appointment availability to try to find ways to improve the service for our patients, however due to such high demand there are times when the phone lines are extremely busy, and all available appointments are booked very quickly.
