I was invited for a health review and booked my appointment at St Mary’s. The nurse conducting my review was friendly and answered all my questions. In particular the gentleman on the front reception desk was just lovely. Super friendly, respectful and full of information to help everyone. Only one issue which was the parking situation, particularly because there were so many work vans taking up valuable spaces.

I had a telephone appointment in July 2024 and I have to say I was extremely satisfied with the call I had with the doctor I spoke with. He made made feel very at ease making our conversation very productive, he listened to my concerns with patience and professionalism. I would have no hesitation recommending this doctor to anyone.

Eventually managed a non urgent appointnent as a patient of long standing at this surgery. I am fortunate that i don't have any serious needs to see a doctor. Which is a blessing i am 86 wutg sone of the failures of old age take routine tablets prescribed maby years ago abd review via blood tests annually. But had been feelung unwell fir a nummber of weeks had attempted to get a low need appointnent for several weeks before going on holiday as my health did not improved i siort ad attended a same day appointment the fakenham surgery no que no close question by an unqualified receptionist facts gathered and a througher examination by a gp quickly professionally and without drama no immediate serious concern but felt a immeduate review with my home practice was the course if action took 4 attempts to get this over the followibg days. Saw a go in stamford on Monday 15th July he agreed that further tests needed bloods taken results received still awaiting follow up call from gp. Again painfully slow on such a simple task. Long wait for phone response a generally atmosohere of lack of interest responsibility or care which right or wrong is lakeside reputation.

Having stood in line very briefly, I registered my car in the car park, and checked in. Within 5 minutes I was called in to see the Doctor. The Doctor was friendly, and concerned. He was reassuring, but said further tests could do no harm, and I was contacted the following day, with a date just a week later. I have had several occasions to be unhappy about the level of service at Lakeside, but this was certainly not one of them, and I hope this is a continued positive trend! Well done Lakeside.

The nurse I saw was lovely and kind, and I have no complaints regarding her at all. The usual complaints about Lakeside in general remain.

Phoned for an appointment on Monday afternoon and a very pleasant and helpful receptionist arranged for me to be seen on Tuesday afternoon, was very happy with the way I was treated .

As I've got older (menopause!) I have developed anxiety in healthcare settings - particularly blood pressure anxiety. The doctor I saw was kind, patient, listened and reassured me. I used the system online service which was wonderful as I was able to get a last minute appointment with the doctor. Thank you to this doctor, and also to all that work at Stamford Lakeside.
