Why does it take so long for repeat prescriptions to be approved in this day when it is done by a touch of a button. Ordered a repeat prescription am on Wednesday 10th July yet at 8pm on Friday 12th it is still not approved and passed to the pharmacy. I now have to wait over the weekend until it can be approved on Monday 14th and the pharmacy need a day so it will be 15th before my first chance of obtaining the medication. By which time I will have one days supply left. If something happens so that I cannot go on that day I am left without medication despite ordering a week before it was due. In the 'good old days' before computerisation I could call in at my surgery - that no longer exists either - request a repeat prescription, call back later and pick it up and obtain my medication on the same day. So why in this 'golden age' of mechanisation does it take a week. Clearly someone cannot be bothered to check their computer. I am informed that Lancaster Medical Practice us the third largest in the country. Clearly this does not bring with it efficiency so perhaps it is time to decentralise and bring back Scale Hall surgery and put doctors in there - a little bit like 'Back to the future'.

Went in the doctors and was treated awful by middle age nurse.shes rude and abrupt.and out right nasty.
