    I have Been making appointments for the last few year via email, as of recently I have just recived and anonymous reply assing me to call the surgery to make an appointment and discus things further. I am Autistic I can't talk over the phone, I can bearly talk to strangers in person, the last time I tried to make an appointment in person at the front desk I was told that I would have to call to make an appointment although I was stood in front of them, If I could have used a phone I would have dialed them then and there in the queue to make a point. The website service the surgery uses doesn't allow you to make or message or request for appointments as the surgery hasn't enabled this feature. Which only leaves me with email and now they don't want me to use this either, I can ask someone else to make the appointment for me and lose my independence doing so, or suffer days of weeks of anxiety trying to muster up the energy to make a call which will result in compleat burnout for days afterwards. How has this surgery got an A rating for accessibility I have now resigned myself to the fact that I can not get an appointment so might as well not botter, I hope my not botheing them help their statistics

At Lansdowne we strive to be constantly improving and enhancing our access for all our patients, we are sorry if this has not been reflected in your recent interaction. As a general rule we do not accept appointment queries over email, as this mailbox is monitored by a different team and not frequently throughout the day. This means emails can at times be unseen for longer periods of time. We do aim to make exemptions where possible, if an email is non-urgent and need for email only communication is expressed we can and do make a case by case decision to make the exemption. Please accept our apologies if this was not the case.     Absolute worst customer service from the reception team and the nurse simply did not want to help. I have been with the practise all my life but it has reached an awful state this past year. The receptionist did not want to talk, she spoke over me many times and said “i dunno” at least twice. I was waiting for an afternoon appointment over-the-phone, i work in customer service on shop floor so was upset to be told they had “no clue” when i would receive the call just that it was going to be in the afternoon. Only to find out that when it did ring the nurse only rang for one bing and then hung up! Absolutely dreadful clearly was not interested in the appointment. I then had to call the surgery and sit waiting as number 7 in the queue until i eventually spoke to the receptionist to explain what happened. The receptionist said that she has no idea when the nurse will call back later today or if she even will at all. Then said “well she called you 20 minutes ago why did you wait until now to phone us back?” i had been sat in the queue waiting to call back for that whole time! I want to move surgeries it’s just awful. Couldn’t imagine if i had a sick child or elderly partner trying to get through to them.

I am sorry to read you had a poor experience with our surgery on this occasion. Unfortunately we are not able to provide times for telephone calls, other than morning or afternoon. This is to ensure realistic and honest expectations are set with patients due to the busy nature of the clinics we would not be able to guarantee a more precise time. Please accept my apologies if this was not explained to you in a clear or concise way on this occasion. The team are currently undergoing training and re-enforcement of our processes, my hope is you will see an improvement on your experience on your next interaction with the surgery.     I put a request in for a supportive letter which I was willing to pay for, it took 9wks an still it wasn’t done. Bad practice.

    Thank you to all doctors and staff of this practice during a recent medical issue I had. They have been quick to act, competent and professional in every way. In addition Boots pharmacy are well stocked and happy to serve. I would recommend this practice for all ages. Thank you
