Review titled totally have the ear of my nurse
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Pauline Fogoe - Posted on 11 December 2024
My diabetes nurse listens ,is very informative . patient, she makes it so I understand everything that comes across to me from her carefully. She keeps it to the point so I am not overwhelmed with everything. She goes above and beyond and I like that.

Review titled Dreadful service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Usmaan Ali - Posted on 05 December 2024
I've been chasing my sick note to be amended as the dates were wrong but I was told I had to speak to a doctor which I did but after waiting a week and was told I would receive it via sms I have gotten nothing so I called but it's seems like no one knows what to do and I've been running in circles, I also had an appointment on the 4th of Dec 24 and was instructed to come to laurie pike I was then told when I came to check in that it was a telephone call but on my email I received it said I was ment to be at the clinic but the guy who was at the reception desk was persistent that it was over the phone I explained to him that I also an waiting for my new sick note as I spoke to the doctor a week ago and have got nothing from it I've called the surgery multiple times and it's the same result this has been a very stressful time and I've also missed an appointment as I didn't receive any call from any doctor when I was told that after I made my way to the surgery and am not sure why I was told it was a telephone appointment when I got an email that states otherwise which I shown the member of staff in appalled with the service and would appreciate if I could speak to a manager in charge Thank you

Review titled Derelict 'service'
Rated 1 star out of 5

Have an appointment for 3:30 on the phone as in person appointments were not an option on the online form after I signed up to be invited to the online form-booking service by filling in the initial online form to book the form invite booking service form access form. At 5pm I checked the online booking service and it said my appointment had expired and to contact the practice directly. I phoned the practice "you are caller number 17 in the queue". There are two good reviews on here, one because an almost illiterate mother was taking her unlucky neonate for myriad vaccines (very lucrative to the practice) and the other seemed to be vaccine injured and was having a myriad of tests and seemed to be fawning so as not to receive further medical battery. (speaks for itself) Two "Good" Reviews*

Phoned in waited 1 hour, receptionist took details and the told me sorry we can’t give appointment because you have to request online, I told her my reason and said I need the appointment today and she said sorry can’t do, the online appointment request is awful.

Dear Patient, I am sorry that when you contacted the surgery you could not be offered an appointment. We are currently experiencing increased demand on our services and only have a limited number of appointments available. Unfortunately we are not able to offer above this limited demand as we must ensure patient safety. Please be assured our clinicians are working to their full capacity and new appointments are available daily. Kind regards Frankie Patient Experience Team

Review titled Rude Reception Staff/Poor GP Policy
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 July 2024
Called to obtain my test results. Advised by receptionist to call 8am to obtain my results. Why is a GP not reviewing results first and then asking patients to arrange appointments if there is a cause for concerns /discussions to be made. This is a waste of appointment when results are clear and reception staff can actually give that information as long as it is reviewed by a GP and clearly noted in file. There are people who are in dire meed if appointments and i can only imagine appointments are being taken up for reasons like this. This is time consuming for the patient and GP. The Receptionist was rude when i questioned this and had the audacity to say to me that ‘i should be more worried about my results than the process’. Reception staff are so defensive it is unreal.

I visited the doctors surgery with a letter from urgent care to my Gp requesting an emergency appointment . The receptionist refused to grant this request and give me an emergency appointment and sent me away telling me to call in the morning .

Review titled Can't book an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 June 2024
It's extremely upsetting trying to book an appointment for my elderly mother/child for over a week and being unsuccessful. I even registered for online access to see if that would help and the same problem occurred with a poor system that barely functions and again not being able to book an appointment. Shockingly poor service, mentally draining and completely upsetting for patients that need help.

Dear patient, I recognise that difficulties in accessing the Practice can be extremely frustrating for our patients and I apologise unreservedly for any upset or inconvenience. Unfortunately we only have a limited number of appointments to offer patients on a daily basis and are unable to exceed this capacity. In this circumstance you may be directed to an alternate service such as a walk in centre or NHS 111. Please be assured that our clinicians are working to their full capacity and the Practice sees as many patients as it is safe to do so. Please do not hesitate to call the Practice on 0121 817 3560 to ask for further support. Again I am very sorry for any distress caused by the difficulty you have faced in trying to obtain an appointment at the Practice. Kind regards, Patient Experience Team

Review titled Another one bites the dust
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Pawnall - Posted on 19 June 2024
I'm elderly, diabetic and recently had blood tests. Received text this morning to click on link to make an appointment for a call back from doctor to discuss results. No link. Ring surgery, no appointments. Ring back at 8am tomorrow. I will do and after 2 weeks will give up again. If results are important I could be dead before I get through. The appointment system is ridiculous.
