There has been a serious and continuous problems with repeat prescriptions at Leacroft Medical practice. The Nurses there are very good and I never mentioned them in my reviews. Leacroft medical practice leave patients with chronic conditions -like myself to defend themselves and fight for their rights to have their medication regularly dispensed. There is a poor training and adhering practice when repeating prescriptions needs issuing and how to obtain this remains obscured. This is my experience and view of the practice. I still do not know if I have to order on nhs app, via website or via telephone and reception continues to be oblivious of the correct process. Once I have a medication review with my excellent diabetic nurse she sends the prescription to my local pharmacy in an electronically format. Serious communication by the team at Leacroft medical practice that I experienced is not allowing this process to be managed smoothly. It is problematic and you need to accept that the messages about Leacroft Medical Practice I read from your practice, highlights the difficulties that you do not seem to understand. Patients comments needs/complaints needs to be read, reflected and actioned. This cannot continue. If there has been a change in how a repeat prescription is handled you must simply inform the patient. You told me that you had the opportunity to call me, but no message was left on my phone. I had to ask my manager to be able to attend the pharmacist appointment that I hear now via your response in this platform, that you have cancelled the appointment. So, there is a big wall between Leacroft medical practice and its customers. This is not good

Never usually have good experiences at leacroft with elder male doctors here. The doctor I saw - come across very rude and arrogant. The doctor should have shown care , compassionate and genuine care/kindness toward me however I felt patronised as I left as I got confused explaining my symptoms how long Ive had the symptoms and then the doctor was disregarding what I was saying. I don’t mean to sound sexist in anyway but do feel like the lady doctors are much more considerate , empathetic and understanding when it comes to a patients care at leacroft. I understand doctors are short staffed and working long hours but please don’t take it out on the patient as you never know what they are going through and makes a patient loose trust on a doctor or maybe learn how to communicate with a bit of kindness

We will discuss your feedback with our GP team. We are a caring organisation, and I am sorry that we have not provided a good and caring service on this occasion. Although we are not short staffed overall, we do have a lot fewer female GPs than male. Please do ask to see a female GP if you would prefer and we will be able to let you know the earliest appointment with both female and male GPs so you can make your choice accordingly. I have attended Leacroft Medical Practice in Crawley this morning to take a blood test. The nurse has been fantastic, firstly met me with a smile and professionalism asking me how I was. Not what I normally witness in this practice. Her professional touch didn't come unnoticed, I felt nothing whatsoever and before I knew, she explained the next steps. There are not many staff left with this professionalism and care so I wanted to say a big thank you.

Having problems with thyroid Within two weeks had a scan done This was followed up with a call from GP Everytime I contact the surgery I always get a positive follow up fast response I usually send a message on line and always get a call from GP the same day If they need to see me I usually get the same day appointment

Nurse Wendy( Diabetic nurse.) Is a very nice nurse ,passionate about providing outstanding patient care .Her Diabetics patients described her as "Wonderful, full of empathy and kind.Thank you nurse Wendy.

The I feel the treatment I received,was professional, I felt listen to. The Dr seemed quietly confident in what he was saying. It's not the first time I have great service. I will always recommend Leacroft to anyone.

It was my first time in the practice and I needed my son checked. This visit has been suggested by a speech and therapy advisor. Appointment was at 16.35 and I got there and signed in with the computer (I am new so I didn't know that there are 2 waiting areas and my toddler must have distracted me when the 3 second page on the monitor showed that) I waited over half hour before realising other people were going in before me. I asked the receptionist that saw me there entertaining a toddler for so long but never bothered to say a word and told me to go upstairs. I waited over half hour again to get in with a doctor that was so rude that if I wasn't there with a child I would have put up a fight for being treated like that! I was speechless! This is a place that should help you get better? I am not sure they know what they are doing! Completely unhelpful and unprofessional!! Already asking to change doctor because next time I see him I will treat him the way he treated me!! Awful!!

Dear Elisa, we are very sorry you had such a disappointing experience at Leacroft. We have 2 busy waiting rooms, one upstairs which is usually for doctors appointments, and one downstairs for all other services. When using the self-check in screen, the message to go upstairs is clearly displayed. We are sorry that you did not see this and we will investigate if the message can be displayed more prominently, for longer, or if the signage in the waiting room can be improved. Our reception team do not know which waiting room patients should be in if they have used the screen to check themselves in, so they had no reason to suspect you were not in the correct waiting room. The GP you were due to see tried to call you 3 times when he found you were not in the GP waiting room, and as there was no answer at each attempt he thought you may not have come for your appointment. He then called in his next patient so that they were not held up further, and asked our Reception team to continue to try to contact you. When they found you, the fact he had called in his next patient already explains the further delay once you had gone upstairs, and we can see your son was eventually seen 40 minutes after the appointment time, for which we apologise. With regard to the appointment itself, we are sorry that the GP you saw did not seem interested in your son. He examined your son’s ears thoroughly, as requested by the speech and language therapist, and found no sign of any problems with your son's ears. We understand the delays were a frustrating experience for you and are sorry that your experience at Leacroft was not satisfactory.
