You have to wait in line on the calls, just to be told to do the eConsult, when it would take less time to just explain in person. But the bigger issue is getting a face to face appointment. The amount of time wasted on having a phone appointment just to be asked to come into the surgery. I had a medical issue and did not feel heard at all. I was stressed and upset and there was no sympathy. Since moving practices, my new surgery saw me straight away in person and have arranged blood tests and an examination. Let's hope there isn't something seriously wrong and that Leadgate surgery didn't miss it by refusing to see me in person. The doctors is always empty and so it the car park - there is no wonder why! It is disgusting to be honest, I'm all for a telephone appointment when necessary but 9/10 you need to be examined physically. Online education stopped in my profession after Covid - so why won't these doctors now start seeing people face to face? Avoid and find a better local practice.
