Review titled Appalling Appointment Booking System

The surgery only offers “on the day telephone appointment” with no specified time or time window. The phone line is often busy and the hold can be for up to 30 minutes when trying to book an appointment. There is no option to pre-book any appointments which are convenient for the patient, who is the tax payer here and has to work and pay tax in order for the staff and the doctor to be paid their salaries as well! I have missed my call due to work commitments and the doctor refused to rearrange as they were “too busy”. What about my time and why this is not appreciated?

I went to the surgery to collect a form I was told was ready and was made to feel like it was my fault that it was not there. The admin staff were curt and abrupt and I was given no apology for their error.

This surgery is outstanding in our opinion. The staff and care plus the quality has been the best we’ve ever experienced in an NHS practice. Always get through on the phone same day and usually always get an appointment for the children. All the GP’s and nurses really do care and the reception team are so helpful, really hearing your concerns and doing their best to support - I hope not to have to change practice! Please continue to be so wonderful Lee House!
