I attended Leigh Rd Surgery today 25/10/2024 and had a very positive experience with the doctor today. She was friendly and I did not feel rushed to get through the appointment. She was extremely thorough and took her time to listen to my symptoms and concerns. She went out of her way to check everything and then explaining her findings and what she think would be the best course of action. I’ve been going to Leigh Rad Surgery for years now and genuinely felt like today was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a doctor. Im really thankful I had her as my doctor today.

I'm a Doctor and my experience as a new patient at this practise has been hugely poor across three incidents. 1) I presented to the practise with an infection. I told my gp I needed medication; however, he didn't listen to my concerns and told me it was autoimmune. My friends and family caught my 'autoimmune' problem and we spent weeks treating it. Something that could have been prevented, but 10 people then caught 2) Recently I had a bone issue and the practise nurse referred me for a 'scan'. I went home expecting this to be an X-ray; however, it turned out to be an ultrasound. This referral was inappropriate and I now need an X-ray, only delaying a diagnosis further 3) I recently called to book an appointment. I was informed I'd get a phone call that afternoon with no specific time. By 6 I'd received no call. I chased the practise but no one answered the phone despite several attempts to call As someone who holds compassion for colleagues in the NHS, the practise is poor. I look after people''s health and can't even get my own health looked after.
