Unfortunately our great GP practice is now terrible. They have merged with a practice in Apsley (miles away!) and we now can’t get any appointments. It used to be E-consult and we would be seen the same day or next day. As I have a young baby I would call through to reception and there would only ever be a few people in front. I have been trying to book a smear test for months, they had one date in July and one date in August, both of which I was away for. These appointments were only available in Apsley! I don’t have access to a car so will have to travel (and pay for) public transport or walk for over an hour. They told me to call back in August for September availability. I tried calling now and I am 18th in the queue! It’s so disappointing, Highfield Surgery was a great GP practice and it’s been completely ruined. We will have to look into alternative practices. Such a shame.
