Review titled Not impressed
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 August 2024
Had to move surgery due to moving( two streets over in same area) Joined Lincoln house as highfield surgery has merged with them. Called 3 weeks ago as need my fit note extending. Got an message say they would contact me 19th of august!! Extremely long to wait to get such a simple thing sorted! On reading the reviews I can see other have had the same date and same issue of having to wait week for this time be sorted! Didn’t have such a long wait at my last surgery. So the 19th has come and gone and no email , text or call to sort this! Don’t need the extra stress. I will call tomorrow and look at other surgery’s in the area as can’t go through a long wait every time I need to get something sorted. Not filling me with confidence.

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have experienced a delay in obtaining a fit note from us. We try our utmost to issue these as quickly as possible, we know that they are important to our patients. They are completed by our GP's out of hours, in addition to their clinics in Surgery. We have experienced an unusually high demand in the last 4-6 weeks which in part has been due to changes to Universal Credit policies and processes. We will backdate any fit notes to include the dates requested and confirm this via a text message that can be used as evidence of the request. You are more than welcome to contact us using our website where you can submit a complaint which will allow us to liase with you directly. Kind regards, Lincoln House Surgery

Review titled Barely a minimal service.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Adrian James Russell Heath - Posted on 18 July 2024
When I moved to Hemel, the pharmacist laughed when I told him my Mum was at this practice, telling me it was one of the worst two in Hemel. As the carer for my Mum, this has been proven on a number of occasions. The basic attitude of the reception and admin is to offer the minimum - hiding behind regulations. "Our system is compliant with guidelines" Basically getting a text counts as a "treatment". Speechless. If you care for your loved ones, please look elsewhere. The medic that I have seen was great; but outside of that I will once again be reliant upon a private GP to handle this particular issue. Oh yes, and they get really quite ratty when they receive a letter from a private GP who has done their job for them!

Review titled Sick note
Rated 1 star out of 5

I applied for a extension to my long term sickness,I asked for a start date 26/072024 -20/09/2024 I will not get any sick payments due to Lincoln house saying it is not urgent & will not be dealt with till the 19th August which means due to them not writing me a sick note I will not be able draw any money to help me survive. Please tell how it take nearly three weeks to sign a sick note. This has come about due to the merger with Highfield surgery. Whom I've never had a cross word with. Lincoln House have no right to play god over peoples sick pay. Absolutely discusseding. I have no issue with Highfield surgery because it near to where I live, since the merger there has been nothing but issues with Lincoln house. appalling

Review titled Ridiculous system in place
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had to fill out a consult form for my 20 month old daughter. Most of the questions were irrelevant and a waste of time. It took me longer to fill out than just speaking to someone. I understand it makes it easier for your staff but not you patience and your staff are getting paid to do a job not me patients shouldn’t have to do the extra work espeacially when your not well or anxious and then getting thrown a load of j essay questions. I was told I would have a call back but Tuesday 6.30 so I waited for the call. I got a call in Wednesday which I missed as I was busy called straight back and had to wait in a queue how is that acceptable people miss calls or the time especially when I wasn’t expecting it. So now my frustration is double because the consult form was a wasted of time. Also for how many people are in the surgery the time it takes to answer a call is mind blowing. I’ve never seen the likes of it

Review titled Like pulling teeth, total frustration
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Trying to get an urgent appointment, non-existent, let the triage team decide if it is urgent or not then you will have a telephone consultation (to a hard of hearing person) fourth appointment, being batted backwards and forwards and still not seen a GP yet! Do they really exist? ….. <….. from one really frustrated patient that has had no sleep for the past 4 weeks! ……

Review titled Visit to Nurses
Rated 3 stars out of 5

Following an operation it was recommended that I arranged a consultation with the Nurses at the practice to check on the wound etc. Because I was trying to make the appointment for a week in advance the receptionist said it could not be done and if I had a problem I should either go to A&e or consult 111. After complaining about this and saying I would consult the hospital I was put through to the Nurse. What a difference - she was most helpful fully understood what was needed and set up an appointment for a week in advance. I have now had my consultation which was conducted very professionally and I would rate it 10 out 10.

Review titled Incompetent

A GP nurse appt had been cancelled which was for redressing a wound. No information was given about what to do next. I called the practice and was told to wait at my nearest urgent care service to which they didn't even know where that was. We are part of the west Herts trust. How can the GP itself who have cancelled the appt not know where to direct us. It is their job to know where to access care in their local trust or atleast know how to access the information. Not everyone has the internet. My grandparents are 80+.

Review titled Terrible experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Do not expect any help that requires more than the lowest level of effort put towards patient's needs. Any help offered is limited to the least effective solution that does not require engagement or further thought put towards condition a patient reports especially in the context of a mental health. It may be the NHS policy at the moment to treat people without treatment but why do we still have to accept it?

dreadful practise . cant get them on the phone. cant get to see a doctor face to face. your lucky if you get a phone consultation weeks later. doctor prescribes medication without seeing patient. receptionist rude and unhelpful. something needs to be done about this practice. My husband is with this practice. my self on the other hand is with a wonderful group of doctors. and I will be applying for my husband to join them to.
