Review titled diffulty trying to make appointments
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Mr david m orme - Posted on 04 April 2024
Ifind it difficult to make an appointment the online form is only available 8am to 9am and when phoning during the day the receptionist seems to want to get you off the phone as soon as possible ,Imade what I thought was a face to face appointment approx 2 weeks ago for april 2nd 1830 hrs I missed the doctors call at 1740hrs I rang the surgery at 1830 only to get ,surgery is closed .I rang on Thursday 4th april 1500hrsonly to be told online forms are only available between 8am and 9am this to me shows the person in reception wants patience to delay making an appointment is acting as a delaying agent in regards to the doctors access, a teenager with no patients for patience I have ring worm on my leg and back and after seeing 4 doctors at the practice who perscribed creams that only stop the irritation but dont cure it over 2years I hope given tese details I have been refered to Russels Hall dermotology dept and I understand a 10 to 12 month wait to see someone is the norm ,beyond belief is my oppinion but thats down to under funding by government. I am at present under going training to improve my copd and the staff there say I need 2 inhailers one to be taken once a day and the blue one I already have when ever needed this is why I needed an appointment to discuss this with a doctor but having to jump through hoops to get an appointment should not happen as seems to be the case.yours sincerely D M Orme, 12 12 1943.

Review titled Short wait
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I came into the reception, stated my name to the receptionist, and seated myself in the waiting area. Within few Minutes my name was displayed on the screen, and I went to see a consultant. While talking to the consultant, I wasn't sure how to respond, as I had been expecting to see a dermatologist.

Review titled Incorrect Information
Rated 3 stars out of 5

Their phone line asks you to only call if you physically can not use the website, It states the website is open from 8am-4pm and to use this to contact the surgery. When trying to do this at 10am it turns out the practice had already turned it off, resulting in me having to call again and listen to the long voicemail asking me to use the website for a second time. I understand this may be due to demand on the practice however the voicemail on their phone lines should not state it is open when it is not as this is very frustrating and time wasting.

The family doctors are very patient centred and are very understanding to individual needs and know you which is particularly important if you suffer with anxiety issues and mental health issues this to me offers continuity of care
