Review titled A waste of time
by Stephen Mains - Posted on 29 August 2024
I had to wait 5 weeks for appointment just to told ther is nothing we can do it is not the first i have been with this condition. They will not referre me to a consultant at the hospital. I had a stroke some time ago and find it difficult to get around the house. If they cant do anything or won't moor to the point. I am going to go to AandE i have been with the practice since I was born 69 years I won't be with them much longer i have had enough of them all .The old Doctors would turn in their graves if they knew what goes on there now The place should be close down I am disabled and I get down I feel very depressed and this doesn't help when you can't see a doctor for 5 weeks and when you do hopefully it before you die to be told that there nothing we can .do. ridicules Stephen Mains.

Review titled Medical report
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Mr Noshair Abbas - Posted on 05 April 2024
Hi good evening, now these days are not much suitable for those who looking forward for this GP guidance and support. I visited my GP almost three weeks ago as I need medical report as a record for my taxi license requirements after filling up SAR and pass my personal details including one copy of driving license as reception staff asked for after couple of weeks I will get mail of medical record and this morning 05/04/2024 I visited to the surgery and shocked after when I find they don't have anything that I have been handed. Now what after wasting of my time needs to go back to the council and get form for medical report. I passed my exam and I think it will be postpone because of them. I don't even know how my details are disappeared.

Review titled The worst practice I have ever dealt with
Rated 1 star out of 5

Submitted an e-consult for my granddaughter (she has a learning difficulty so is unable to make her own requests) as the practice will not offer any appointments without going through this process first - this is despite me attending the practice in person to request an appointment only to be told the only 'route into the practice' is via the e-consult system. I submitted the e-consult 10 days ago and still haven't had a response despite submitting six reminders. I have also rang the practice to complain to the Practice Manager who refused to speak to me. I have since left a message with the receptionist (who is certainly not at fault here) and asked that the Gp's be advised that if I don't receive a response from a Gp or a nurse the next person they speak to will be a reporter from the local newspaper. I am also referring the practice to the local NHS Integrated Care Board and the Care Quality Commission - they cannot be allowed to get away with simply ignoring patients. It's no surprise that the only time they respond in a timely matter to patients is when the treatment has a fee attached such as vaccinations and immunisations. I used to be registered with this practice myself (and was registered with them for nearly 30 years) but left over a year ago as the service was getting worse by the hour. I would strongly advise anyone thinking about registering with this practice to think hard, think again and explore all other options available.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Followed all instructions to book a prescription review via the app they make you use, get a text message on the morning - sorry we missed you, no missed calls. Message said they would retry within the hour, still no call, currently on hold at 10th in the que to try and speak to someone having followed the “new system” pitiful.

Review titled E-consult
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 June 2023
I think the new system of everything being done via e-consult is appalling. Even when you are at the surgery for something else you cannot make any appointment or ask the reception staff anything without filling in an - consult. All other Departments within the NHS say "just phone your surgery"!!! They don't realise the problems Linthorpe patients have and they cannot just phone the GP's. It would be a joke if it wasn't so serious. It is yet another way of distancing patients from their GP. Word of mouth is sometimes the only way.

Review titled the worst practice in england

This is the worst practice in uk. It takes all day to make an appointment to see a doctor, and you never see the same doctor twice. I get panic attacks every time I know I have to phone them. Now they changed their system that you only can speak to a doctor by econsult first and then they will decide if you need to see them face to face. Every time you go their , the place is empty. I pay my taxes for this laughable service. They constantly making difficult for me to get my pain medication and telling me that they have nothing to give me. Does people will cause me to loose my job. Without my pain control medication I can't walk or work, so I have to go on a sick. I can't look after myself. I live alone. Stay away from this surgery. Last year I fell downstairs because of my mobility problem and I was told by their therapist to get on the bus and go to a and e in my pyjamas. I live in Middlesbrough the hospital she told me to go to was in Redcar. I wish I could go somewhere else to see a doctor. I hate this place.

Review titled The place is in meltdown
Rated 1 star out of 5

Visited the surgery (again) to resolve the matter of a delayed repeat prescription (after being delayed last time as well). After 48 hours they still hadn't issued a replacement as they had sent the request to the wrong individual in the practice and that individual had done nothing with it. It used to be a fantastic surgery but now it is totally dysfunctional - hardly any GPs in attendance, telephones not answered or calls cut off after waiting in queue for ages, no appointments available half the time, e-consult referrals not responded to, errors in referrals to hospital including an error on a cancer referral. All they are interested in are those services that attract a fee such as flu jabs and covid jabs. It's said that people move house or get divorced more often than they change GP and this practice relies on this level of patient apathy to survive. Well I've reached the end of my tether with them and I'm now changing practice.
