Needed help for a referral, the whole process from logging an online query to speaking to the Dr and getting the referral done was so quick. I have struggled to get a referral form my previous surgery but here it was all done within a day. Can’t fault the surgery thank you for helping.

All practice staff very helpful and caring. Doctor listened to me very carefully and tried to fully understand the problem and advised to start the new medication. Explanation was very easy to understand. Doctor was very understanding and cleared all the doubts in my mind. Relieved me from all the worries. very pleased.

Review titled Really disappointed
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I called the practice because I had mild UTI symptoms. I was advised they no longer needed to see patients for it as asked me to bring a urine sample. I received a call shortly after dropping off the sample requesting details of my symptoms. Later that day I received another call stating that my urine sample was clear although I ticked all the boxes of a potential infection. I was really shocked that they suggested to get an over the counter medication and said to call back I quote "if you have severe back pain, a lot of blood in your urine and very high fever", if I wanted to be prescribed antibiotics. I followed the advice originally and took 2 days course of over the counter medication to alleviate my symptoms that were getting worse. I then walked to Boots to see a pharmacist who prescribed me with 3 day course antibiotics and I now feel better. I am appalled that my own doctors couldn't do the same. I am frustrated that they are playing with people' lives by asking them to let their symptoms get worst. I cannot afford to be sick with 2 really young children and the fact that it was suggest by the doctors is very concerning. I appreciate they need to cut costs, but play with people's lives is criminal.

Staff are hardworking and helpful, the doctors are attentive and the service overall is spectacular. The prescription clerk in particular really helped me when I was in need. Along with that, the medical secretary was very helpful and quick to deal with my queries.

Review titled Continuous Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Lee Bromage - Posted on 16 November 2023
Trying to contact this surgery is a sham, especially for an appointment, the standard of service supplied has consistently dropped since lockdown, when or if you finally get an appointment the service in general is quite efficient, if I was to pay for this service I would definitely expect a better quality, Oh wait I do and have done all my working life, do I feel as though I’m getting value for money No,not sure what other surgeries are like but would definitely advise anyone looking for a new Doctors surgery give this one a miss

Review titled Poor service as per usual Lister House surgery Luton
Rated 3 stars out of 5

Called the surgery requesting an appointment with a GP as I suspect I have symptoms of a urine infection, waited 30mins to get through, to then be told there are no appointments available and advised by receptionist to contact NHS 111 who managed to get me booked in for a telephone consultation with a GP at my surgery. Waited around for a call back, no scheduled time provided. Eventually received a call mid day and advised by a GP that a urine sample is required and i need to come in. Attended the surgery and the reception staff seemed very confused and lost, I had to repeat myself twice (explaining why i have had to come in). System down and unable to obtain my details. Had to leave details on a piece of paper and contact number with urine sample. Awaiting further contact. Meanwhile, in severe pain waiting around for an outcome. The whole process is just a faff and time consuming. I could have simply been offered an appointment on the day but had to go through NHS 111 to get one. Furthermore, I am still waiting for contact and in alot of pain. With all due respect had this been another patient that has significant health needs it wouldn't suprise me if they drop dead in the time it takes to receive any support. Disgusting service!
