Review titled The practice was great until new doctors come in
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by - Posted on 24 January 2024
I want to start with, I had no problem until this surgery got difference doctors in. There’s only two doctors who really helped but I’m not guaranteed to get the doctor you want to speak to, I have never had any problems with nurses in that surgery, regardless, which one you see. The one positive part of this Surgery right now, are the staff who answer the phone and sort appointments and sort out prescriptions. Since I’ve had problems with Doctors these ladies have helped me so much even though they don’t after to help. With what I’m going through right now if they were there for me I’d be stuck right now. When people get rude with certain stuff or even good Doctors it’s out of order, then the people who talk to them wrong need to remember why the staff respond different. I want to say thank you so much to the people who are helping me right now. As for the pharmacy on Church Lane since they changed The stuff I’ve had problems with them, so I went to Lockwood pharmacy and still and I and a negative experience with them.

Review titled Unprofessional approach
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Regina Rasulova - Posted on 16 November 2023
I want to leave this comment on my poor experience with Lockwood surgery. I made an appointment for my daughter who been suffering with blocked nose for nearly 4 months. The receptionist was absolutely rude and unprofessional and put phone down by saying to me: “ I will not be repeating myself again” while I was trying to explain how difficult for me to take time off work and if they can arrange a suitable time for new appointment after 4 pm to be able to attend an appointment together with my daughter. However, I had no option as to send my daughter by herself independently to see the doctor. In addition , I want to mention that nurse practitioner who was on duty that day ( 14/11/23) prescribed for my daughter an anti allergy medication to cure bad cough and blocked nose which continues for 4 months. Instead of doing a full assessment and examination of sinuses and throat. On top of that the nurse practitioner had no eye contact with the my daughter, reluctantly avoided the person centred care approach with my daughter. In overall, the experience was awful and my daughter is still struggling day after day and not able to sleep well as she can’t breathe properly. I really want someone to take some action and provide a good training for nurses practitioners and receptionist on how effectively communicate with patients. Provide best treatment for patients in right time and right place!

Dissatisfaction This is my second review on how unprofessional and unhelpful this surgery ( Lockwood Surgery). My daughter is still struggling with blocked nose and difficulty breathing through nose but still they not doing anything about it! I want someone to take some action and help my daughter. Doctors! Do some reading! Stop prescribing wrong treatments! You need to get some training on how provide the right treatment instead of prescribing wrong medication!

I have recently joined this surgery and I have had more input and telephone calls from GP for long term conditions, fast tracked and a phone call the day after.

Review titled Not the same
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I used to love this surgery and would recommend it to anyone. Not anymore unfortunately - since the great doctors have retired/left the surgery is not the same. I have spoke to so many different doctors and have to go through my whole history of my problem again and again. There is no warm friendliness and they can't get you out of the door fast enough whereas the doctors who have retired/left were so welcoming and had a lot of time to listen to you and not cut you short when talking. The receptionist are all different and one in particular can be so abrupt and blunt that she is obviously in the wrong job! Such a shame

Dear Patient I am sorry that you feel the practice is not as good as it used to be, unfortunately when there are changes in personnel and increases in demand versus capacity it is not always possible to provide the same level of service especially with the changes that the NHS continues to experience. If you have specific issues with any of the team on site we would be happy to discuss this with you if you contact me via complaints@lockwoodsurgery.com Regards SWhite Patient Relations Manager

Review titled It’s a shame
Rated 2 stars out of 5

This used to be a good practice but over the last few years and since existing doctors have left it’s not welcoming, you have to deal with one receptionist that looks/ sounds like she doesn’t want to talk to you. I’ve had recent appointments lately that were utterly pointless and could have been an email/ phone call. When talking to the newest doctor I tried to ask him about recent tests I’d had done and he reminded me I only had a few minutes and would have to make another appointment. Each appointment (4 in total) took less than 5 minutes with all small talk. 4 separate appointments That could have easily been one or 2.
