Review titled Great review with Pharmacist
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Helen Barnes - Posted on 13 February 2024
I had my annual hypertension review today with the pharmacist face to face in London Lane. I was given a calm and thoughtful health review, and then given very helpful and supportive advice. I’m certain I’ll attend for my valuable appointments with him next year Thank you

Review titled Appalling

This is by far the worst GP surgery I’ve ever experienced. The office staff are completely clueless as to their own roles and are often just rude. Upon calling to check on the status of a repeat prescription order that had an item rejected I was told that nobody would have informed me. I then enquired whether the other items in the order had been approved or not and was told “I don’t know as I have no idea how patient access works”. There needs to be an urgent review of this surgery as it is just not performing to an acceptable standard.

Review titled Absolutely appalling practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionists laugh down the phone instead of answering in a professional manner . You cannot get an appointment to see a GP and end up having to pay to see someone privately ( if you can of course) effectively paying twice . The NHS is not free we pay for it and I have been paying for 46 years!!.

Review titled Very Poor Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 November 2023
My family and I have been at the practice for 25 years + and it has deteriorated beyond measure, especially since covid. The whole place seems like a disorganised rudderless ship with no one properly running it or having a grip on the situation. Admin is poor and often deny having copies of hospital letters even when I have personally taken duplicate copies. Almost impossible to see a Dr and econsult is used too prevent you seeing anyone. They maintain you have been contacted in spite of having no 'missed calls' or call record on both landlines and .mobile. Just rely on texts and NHS app messages. As I am under a London teaching hospital for a serious condition they seem to disregard me and tell me to get in touch with the hospital, no matter the ailment. I don't know how this practice can get away with this dreadful lack of service and I have zero confidence in getting help from them. Depressing.

This practice makes it as hard as possible to have a face to face appointment. If and it’s a big if you get a call back after having filled out their e-consult it’s obvious they haven’t read it you get a receptionist call you back offering an appointment at another practise in 24 hours time. They are failing their patients it borders on neglect. No wonder the pru a&e department is over run. Absolutely appalling service.

Review titled Unfit for purpose

I have been trying to get an appointment for over a year (concerns about a mole) and after countless econsult forms, I have not heard back. I have now gone private, which I can't really afford but feel like I have no choice.

Review titled wonderful service

I have been highly impressed with the practice. The receptionists are very kind and helpful. The secretaries have always got back to any of my queries super promptly. The doctors we met have been great. Given the amount of pressure there is on the NHS at present I am grateful for all of the help we have had. Thank you

Review titled Horrendous

Unfortunately what makes the surgery a nightmare is the receptionists. They are so rude, including laughing down the phone at your health problems and sniggering. The receptionists will say they can’t give you an appointment even when appointments are available. The doctors are actually brilliant and lovely, it’s unfortunately the receptionists, one in particular, that can be very rude and make you feel like you’re completely irrelevant. It’s sad that they will protect their staff, but not their patients! Patients should not be treated this way.

Review titled Musical Chairs
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was recently referred back to my go as a matter of urgency, because the hospital had discovered an unusual change in my statistics and had to be seen urgently by my doctor as a&e had been swamped and waiting times to be triaged and consulted were in excess of 15 hours. So it was suggested I wait for my go appointment which was already in the system. They advised London Lane of the urgency and said wait to hear from them. My own doctor has cancelled on me more than once in the last year, and I had an email that my appointment had been downgraded to a phone call. Nobody had read my email from the hospital and when I called them about the change they messed me around even more. I did eventually get a face to face appointment, but it was 7 days later!!! Don’t bother waiting for this place to sort you out in an emergency, as it won’t happen. This used to be a fantastic practice with some amazing doctors, but I can’t with good conscience recommend this practice to anyone with serious emergency needs as you won’t be considered. I am so very disappointed.

Review titled Dreadful

Trying to get an appointment at this practice is ridiculous . We were sent a link to make an appointment to see a doctor which we did , when we arrived at the surgery we were told we did not have an appointment despite being sent a confirmation and a reminder to attend told there was not a doctor on the premises ( there was) .We were not the only ones either three more people arrived who thought they had appointments . This practice was once very good not anymore it is absolutely dreadful!!!
