Review titled Misleading, inaccurate information by receptionist
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 June 2024
I wanted to book an appointment, I was told by the receptionist to book it on the London Road medical practice website. She told me to click on a blue ribbon, God knows what that means? I asked her to explain what it is/ looks like and she didn't reply to me. Eventually went on patient access to try and book an appointment as instructed by website, but patient access told me to ring the GP. It's like going round in circles- GP surgery is telling me to go on website whilst the website is telling me to go on patient access and patient access is redirecting me to GP. Finally I called back to the GP and the receptionist told me to ring back the next day at 8.30am, which I told her is impossible as I am working full time and won't be available at the time since I work in a school. Pathetic service by NHS and even more pathetic surgery. They are not helpful and they don't want to resolve the issues, all they do is talk over you and when questioned they refuse to reply.

Shouty and hostile woman who answers the phone ‘upstairs’. She must be the manager. Wow, needs an education. Whispers down the phone and makes no sense. Need to speak to someone about my medication. Can’t get an appointment so I was put through to this woman?

Ashley, Thank you for your comment. I can confirm that we employ a pharmacist and assistant to manage prescription queries and requests, these are not managed by the Practice Manager. Prescriptions are requested and completed within 48 hours and I note that we have actioned your request in that time frame. If you have a specific complaint please contact the practice. Review titled Unapologetic behaviour from the doctor
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a d&c few months ago and I have got periods 2 times this month. I tried calling my doctor but she is out of the country so I called my gp when my situation became bad. She said I am getting continuous periods because of my pcos condition and she is not there to check on my periods. I said I am feeling very low and she said it is because I am over eating. I said no I am on a diet at the moment, then she laugh on me. I felt really bad. And I called her to say about my asthma as well and she was speaking like she doesn’t believe I have asthma. After my d&c I am mentally down and having periods for continuous 12 days. I called my Gp for help and she said her valuable time is not to be wasted on things like this. She wasn’t even letting me speak. I am really disappointed on this.

You never get an appointment, staffs are useless. I don't even know why they are still open. They are supposed to help patients who does not need to be seen by accident and emergency but they always tell you to go to accident and emergency I can't wait to move gp. The doctors are wonderful shame the admins are not trained enough to know who has priority to be seen.
