    I visited the GP the last week of July. I was feeling unwell and very stressed. The GP that I saw was very calm and reassuring. He suggested that I should have blood drawn for an overall assessment. I was very happy to do this. However, yesterday I received my results. Instead of being contacted by telephone to discuss my results, I was sent a text informing me that I would benefit from lowering my cholesterol. This is certainly not helpful. I do not find texting a difficult result to interpret very professional and as a result, I became very worried and stressed all over again. It would have been far more professional and productive to discuss such a result, as now I am not sure how I should proceed. Do you text people telling them they cancer or some serious concern?? Up until they moment I had been very happy with the surgery. Now I am walking around feeling anxious, and as it states in my notes that I was in a stressed state on arrival at the surgery, I am shocked that somebody would send me a very brusque text.

    Dear Ms Boast, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experiences regarding your appointment and subsequent contact with the surgery. If blood results are non -urgent GP's do contact patients by text with a link proving more information and advice . However, we understand of course that some patients may wish to discuss these in person. Our Reception Manager has spoken with you, and I note you have an appointment with our Health Care Assistant to discuss your results as you prefer. We always endeavour to be as helpful and supportive as we can for our patients and are sorry you were left worried having been texted. We do hope your upcoming appointment will be useful for you.     After a very pleasant phone call back in regards to a form I needed for work, the person who I spoke to done the upmost to assist me in getting the form filled out, provided additional information about the subject in question which I wasn’t aware of, and ensured that I will receive the medical form filled out and sent over to me as soon as possible. Very polite and extremely helpful. Thanks for being so professional

    Have had a problem in a certain prescription based product. This is vital for my sister ( I am her carer). In both occasions the staff handling prescriptions were just amazing . They helped me track down the product and made it easy for me to obtain. The staff touched base with me 3 times . Caring and dedicated . Thank you

    We have been with Longrove Surgery for few months now and the service we received was exceptional. Despite being very busy they always try to accommodate the patients. On my last visit I was assisted by the Dr who was very professional. The care I received was excellent and I appreciated the follow up communication to ensure my recovery was on track. All other doctors are great! Definitely recommended GP. Thank you!

    Today was for a prescription query and was dealt with in no time. Such politeness and caring doctors and reception - they really do go above and beyond to help patients - I’ve only been with them a short while and they are all so attentive

    Only complaint I have I rang to day to check on new prescription the member off staff did not really know what to do !! Apart from that I got it sorted with h the help off of a more experienced member off staff

    I was meant to have an appointment with the physiotherapist at 2:20pm. When I arrived at the surgery I checked in on their self service screen with no issues. By 2:45pm I still hadn't been called for my appointment. I queried this with the receptionist, think they were just running late, but no. After checking with the receptionist and despite having a text confirming the date and time of appointment, I wasn't actually booked in for this appointment. The receptionist explained that the colleague who sent the text with confirmation details, must have done so but not actually booked me for the appointment. The receptionist didn't go out of their way to resolve this issue and seemed to think that statement was enough. In the end the Reception Manager booked me in for another appointment in a couple of weeks time- we shall see if this one actually goes ahead. On the same day I had an appointment with the nurse for health check and was booked in for my follow up appointment today. I arrive at the surgery and was unable to check in using the self service screen, so checked in with the receptionist, who told me I wasn't booked in for an appointment today! When I explained that this was the second time in the space of a week that this had happened, they laughed! Luckily after speaking with the nurse she could squeeze me in in-between appointments. This surgery is terrible. I would not recommend to anyone. This sort of error seems to happen a lot, not just to me but I know of other people who this has happened to. I have had face to face appointments booked in the past, only to be called on my phone whilst in the waiting room, as the surgery had the appointment down as a phone consultation. I have even had a doctor tell me that a procedure I asked to have " wouldn't help and is a waste of time" and guess what, they were wrong,l and the results of that test helped toward a diagnosis. Unorganised surgery and the staff don't seem to care in fixing things.

    I Attended the surgery recently and as greeted by a very friendly receptionist, she helped me with my quires. She was very informative and helpful. I feel that this surgery has come leaps and bounds in patient service and wish this continues. Thank you for all the help I have been given
