Review titled Good practice

This practice has helped me sympathetically and efficiently throughout a recent health issue. The doctor was really helpful and looked at my problem from various angles. Booking an appointment can be difficult, since you need to phone at exactly 8am to have a chance of an appointment. I don’t like the repeated music and repeated message about vomiting blood, but I understand its necessity. On the whole, I am glad this practice is my local one. Thank you for all you’re doing to help us, and for being there when people are having the worst days of their lives.

Tried to ring for an appointment, was 2nd in line, i was waiting for 25min then cut off, i decided to go to the surgery a 15min drive away instead of trying again, went to reception to book an appointment and explained i had waited 25 min on the phone only to be cut off, i was told by reception she was busy with a patient and the longest wait time on the phone was 9min, implying i was mistaken or lying and had not waited 25 minutes I Do Not Tell Lies! as to booking an appointment she wanted to know what the appointment was for, I asked why she needed to know the details of my reason for an appointment and i did not feel it correct to disclose my medical reasons for an appointment whilst other patients can hear the conversation, I was told dont talk so loud then and they wont hear, that sums up some of the new surgery staff, myself and my family have been with this surgery over 30years, I would never have believed that the surgery, would ever have such an attitude towards patients, its shameful that a surgery changing hands could change so much
