Trying to get an appointment at this surgery is none Existent. Try to call at 8.00am number 80 In the queue to then be told no appointments try again tomorrow on the anima app. I have several screen shots on my phone of the ‘ sorry we will not be taking anymore requests today for appointments’ and that is at 8.01 am!!! Two days this week you can not even get as far as requesting an appointment on the app! What is going on at this surgery?? This building was a waste of tax payers money from the government

Review titled Disappointing

Have to say the medical staff here are excellent. Take time to listen and deal with your issues, always sympathetic. The problem is getting to see them. I can only echo the problems as outlined in other reviews...so difficult to get an appointment either on the phone or online...you have to be there at opening time (8am) or before....

Review titled Unable to get any appointments with this Practice.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Dave A. - Posted on 24 April 2023
I have been self monitoring my high blood pressure for some time now, and was given an all day telephone appointment (no specific time) to discuss my readings with a clinician. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I unfortunately missed their telephone call. The surgery has subsequently made no effort to contact me again. This practice uses the "Anima" online system for patients to access their services. Upon trying to book another appointment, the online system only opens at 08.00 Monday to Friday, and as soon as the system goes online, after logging in, you are informed that the practice is at full capacity, and not currently taking any new requests. This has been the case at a couple of minutes past 8 o'clock for the past 10 days. Any attempt to telephone the surgery is met with a recorded message to use their preferred Anima system, but continuing with the call puts you in a queue, usually with around 80 callers ahead of you. The queue slowly goes down at a rate of about 9 callers every half hour, but when my position in the queue reached the upper 40's, the line went blank for a few seconds, and then without redialling, reset my position back to the upper 80's. My last remaining option was to walk down to the surgery, only to be asked by the receptionist why I wasn't using the Anima system. When I replied that I wasn't able to get any kind of an appointment online, I was told that the Anima system was working perfectly. I mentioned the problems I'd had on the phone, and was told I should have been using Anima! I asked the receptionist what I could do to get an appointment, and was told that there was nothing available today, and she couldn't book any other appointments. She suggested to return to the surgery in person at 08.00 tomorrow, only to be told there were again no appointments. In spite of the fact that the practice is always "at full capacity", their huge waiting rooms are always empty. My wife has had a similar experience trying to book appointments for herself, so despite being reasonably intelligent and computer literate, we've more or less given up any attempt to access NHS medical care through our GP. This practice has effectively firewalled itself behind the Anima computer system, long queues on the phone, and a receptionist who is unable to make appointments. NHS111 are not able to help with high blood pressure as this needs the attention of a GP. We will not attend A&E to receive treatment, as we are neither an accident nor an emergency. Having both paid National Insurance contributions all of our working lives, we find that now, at 70 years of age, we are effectively being denied medical care by way of having no access to a GP. I know we will only receive the usual generic, cut & paste, computer generated reply that other patients have received, as I really don't believe that a real person ever reads these reviews.

Been with this surgery a year never managed to get an appointment, tried phoning and the online system useless. Having to have more time off work because I can't get a prescription without seeing the gp yet I can't get an appointment once again! Joke!

I have been there myself becouse there is always no option to get over the phone , you are usually 30+ in the quee which taking over 1hour to get on. Online system after few minutes show you there is no more appointments available. Practice was totally empty when i came- which usually is when im there.. I spoke to lady in reception and explained that i need to change prescription becouse all pharmacy around cant get mine prescription as it got 2 ingredients in 1 tablet , i asked her to put request to give me 2 separate medicines so i can get it as pharmacy said they have it like that. Next day i received msg on my email that same prescription is waiting in pharmacy for me.. i called to pharmacy and even them was laughing from them how ignorant and unproffesional they are. Avoid at all cost.
