Review titled The receptionist was amazing, the GP needs to do better

I rang to follow up on test results I have been chasing for 2 weeks. When the GP was consulted, the urgency of the single test was dismissed without any effort to review why the test was ordered in the first place to understand and address the wholistic issue. Goes to show the gaps in care provided by GPs across the country who are quick to dismiss patients because they don’t have the interest nor time to provide proper wholistic care. Nonetheless, the receptionists was attentive and took the time to hear me out, allowing me to give her the background on my medical needs and other tests that have been ordered by previous GPs. She then escalated to the same GP who only then agreed that I did need care. Thank you to that receptionist!

Attended the surgery for a flu vaccine, I was seen and the vaccine administered in less than 3 minutes.

Arrived on time seen on time health care assistant listened to me before giving his diagnosis agreed to have blood test .

The doctor explained everything in detail to me concerning the treatment I should have received much earlier in the year. The treatment I received was provided on an adhoc basis and the doctor said this was not good enough and apologised for the failings of others in the health service.

I had a good experience with Maidstone Road Surgery today. My daughter-in-law called a couple of times to assist with our vaccination appointments, and the staff who attended her were very helpful and friendly. During my visit for a general health review, the GP was attentive, and patiently addressed all of my health concerns. Overall, good service and care from the team.

It is a comfortable place and the receptionist was helpful doing my BP . The nurse is very caring and pleasant-making conversation. Everything was on time with quick visit - a really comfortable experience.
