  1. Review titled Rude Reception Staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

Avoid this practice. Online system was poor to start with, but since they are now updating this currently, you have no choice but to ring up to get an appointment. You ring up for an appointment and ask for a certain GP, only to be met with a very abrupt telephone receptionist, who advises you that you will never get an appointment with this certain GP, as there are over 5000 patients. Explained that I have rang up the last two weeks previous and was told to ring the next week to get booked in with this GP. When I have followed these instructions and rang up at this set time, you get told there are no appointments left, but today just being told I will never get an appointment with this GP is appalling and very poor customer service. I have recently transferred to this surgery as I am new to the area, but already I am seriously thinking about changing surgeries. No receptionist should speak to you in such an awful manner, talking over you. If my younger son of 18 had rang up and been spoken to this, I can imagine this would be very intimidating. Receptionists need further training to speak in a fair and friendly manner.

  4. Review titled Receptionists

Rated 1 star out of 5

Contacted the surgery today to make an appointment for my husband to see a doctor. Not a simple process as it appears the receptionist is medically trained and was able to diagnose my husband, without seeing him or speaking to him! I believe he needed to see a doctor however the receptionist came to the conclusion, using her vast medical experience, that he needed to go to eye casuality???? (at a time when hospitals are under extreme pressure) or see a pharmacist but definately not his GP!! Experience of this practice over the last 3 years is certainly not positive (trying to be polite), they have definately not come out of Covid with any glory and are continuing to use practices set up during Covid which are certainly not patient friendly. Not sure if the Doctors are aware of how difficult it is to get an appointment but for me I think the time is right to change practices.
