  1. Review titled Poor service nowadays unfortunately

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Used to be very good but nowadays impossible to get an appointment. Have tried on numerous occasions and today as I need to see someone today to get a prescription I having phoned district nurses, Buxted number and who told me to go to an urgent care centre who I phoned first,. They said I needed to see GP,. Went to the Horam surgery to be told to phone at 8 in the morning or fill out online form. I have an ongoing health issue the GPS should be aware of . So have come home and dialled 111 . Manor Oak used to be excellent but I am afraid that I will have to change to another surgery. Manor Oaks details say still accepting patients, why, when they can’t cope with the ones they already have. It is a great pity . Is it a shortage of gos or bad management, I’m not sure.

  2. Review titled Impossible to make Appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

Since the three surgeries have been amalgamated, it has become impossible to actually access the services. The only way to obtain an appointment now is to complete an online form at 8:00am, I went online at 08:13 this morning, and all of the appointments had gone, and despite me regularly refreshing the page, it would seem that no further appointments were released, despite the empty promise that they might be. Even trying to make a non-urgent appointment in advance now has to be done online. For anyone who has children they need to get ready for school, or any other normal commitments like a job, it makes this booking process essentially unviable. It does feel a somewhat discriminatory system as the process makes no allowance whatsoever for anyone who does have commitments and cannot be waiting to access the website bang on 8am. Ringing later in the day or attending the surgery will make no difference I have been told, the only way to make an appointment to see a GP, is via the online form. I would add that the reception staff are, and have always been, polite, helpful and friendly, but I am now in a position where I have no choice but to try and find an alternative surgery...not easy when you live in a rural area!
