Review titled Disgraceful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by KR DEAN - Posted on 24 July 2023
I made an appointment to see the physio at Bushey. Arrived for appointment only to be told that my appointment was at Borehamwood. I had received a text telling me it was at Bushey. Had to make another appointment. Then I was supposed to have an appointment for talking therapy at 1030 this morning. No phone call. I have the rebooked physio at 1 at Borehamwood not local to me. This new triage system is a joke. It used to be a great practice but has really gone downhill since this system was introduced

Review titled Bizare way to run a system
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Lorna - Posted on 10 July 2023
You can't ring for an appointment you have to do it online and go through a triage system. It took a 25 min phone call to even find out how to book an appointment and then 45 mins to fill out the form. I waited 4 days for some one to contact me and they asked me to go into a surgery 10 miles away from me. I have no way to get there. So they said its that or wait. Well a week later I'm still waiting and when I call they tell me I have been seen already and to do another online triage. Followed by if its urgent go to A&E or pay private totally bizare I would not recommend this doctors at all.

Review titled Phone wait times
Rated 2 stars out of 5

So much for the new system, making it easier to get through on the phones, one hour and five minutes for my call to be answered and then she wasn’t sure. I work in a GP surgery and we’ve been doing the triage service for months now and it’s freed up at telephone lines for patients to get through. what’s going wrong there . terrible service

Review titled Accident in carcpark
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Angela Jenkins - Posted on 12 June 2023
26th May I waited ½ hr in Manor View P to park my car I got out to find space.. tripped over a concrete block next to the pavement. lying on the ground a man picked me up another led me into surgery I had my blood test as arranged. My knee swelled immediately a nurse put a dressing on a cut bur no other1st Aid equipment was available and an assessment of damage to the knee, or to, me carried out. I was clearly in shock & terrible pain..I was wheeled back to my car to drive myself home asap. I have been unable to walk unaided since or get a advice from the surgery 2 wks later a doctor rang to say I should book into mount Vernon where Xrays were taken sent to the orthopaedic surgeons at Watford for immediate admission. I Fractured the tibia & am in full leg splint unable to weight bear for 10 weeks ! The joint is now unstable. An Ambulance should have been called immediately!

Review titled Saved me from real problems
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by David Magnus - Posted on 22 May 2023
The MVP pharmacist was concerned with my blood pressure and low heart beat. Arranged an ECG which was referred to a consultant. Next day I get a call to go direct to Watford General to have a pacemaker fitted. Now 2 weeks later I am fit and well. As I had no symptoms if he had not spotted it the result could have been very different.

Review titled Service Could be Improved
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 April 2023
Hopefully, this will be a helpful review for some. I have had both positive and negative experiences at Manor View Callowland. The doctors have been very helpful, informative and thorough. In contrast, I have at times found the nurses and receptionists to be aggressive, rude and argumentative. As someone who has worked in the NHS, I am quite appalled by the behaviour of certain staff. Unfortunately, the negative experiences were quite hurtful and as a result, will not be returning to the practice. Though I live in Watford I will henceforth be using the Bushey branch.

Review titled Recent Decline in what was a great service
Rated 3 stars out of 5

We joined this practise in 2021. Getting appointment was fairly easy. Recently When trying to get appointments it's difficult and they are gone by the time you get through. Last month After two visits to hospital and getting ultra sound in stomach and other tests at Watford Hospital I was asked to contact the surgery for an appointment which I was given for telephone on 25th Apr. I was discharged from hospital on 14th March. Why does it take more than five weeks for me to see the GP and than that appointment is cancelled on 21sr Apr??? Now the the new appointment is the following later part of week. The patient service as of recent has declined. I hope you'll take my complaint seriously and address my concerns. On 6th Apr I paid £35:00 to get my Insurance Certificate signed by GP and still there is no response to my request.

Review titled Diabolical service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 May 2023
Every time I have had an interaction with this surgery it has ranged from negative to downright appalling. Unbelievably long waiting time on the phoneline, stroppy receptionists, useless amount of parking for the number of patients. It is so difficult making an appointment. Really rubbish in every way.

Review titled Life threatening issues ignored
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Michael Rosenblatt - Posted on 06 July 2023
3 occasions that I had issues - 1. cellulitis in my leg and I couldn’t get an appointment; when I finally saw a doctor she sent me straight to A&E where subsequently I received intravenous antibiotics for 5 days and still having issues. 2. Couldn't get an appointment for a chest infection. Reception told me to call 111 who sent a message to the surgery to say I should be seen that day. The surgery refused. 111 again contacted the surgery who again refused. I drove to the surgery who still refused. I was sent to Watford A&E who diagnosed pneumonia. When I needed a sick note, what the surgery emailed was impossible to print and they would not provide me with one. We have now left the practice.
