Review titled Amazing practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Clare Cane - Posted on 15 September 2023
The past 7 months have been incredibly scary and tough following 3 operations after being diagnosed with a high grade malignant tumour. During this time I have spent quite a lot of time either visiting the practice or having over the phone appointments and the amazing doctors, nurses, ladies on the desk, in the pharmacy, behind the scenes, all the staff have been just incredible. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have gone above and beyond with caring for me. Thank you all so much.

Review titled Waiting time with no concept of having a child
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Louise - Posted on 10 February 2023
I managed to get my 2 year old daughter an appointment, we waited in the waiting room for an hour before we were seen, no one came to us to apologise or explain why our app was late. I went to reception within 45 minutes and they said the doctor was running late. Must of been 15 people who came and went in that waiting room and we were the last ones to leave. The waiting room was empty, why couldn’t another doctor help our doctor by taking on some patients. When we finally saw the doctor, there was no apology and my 2 year old was far too tired to experience someone to examine her so had to leave. I’m sad to say this but really poor service and the doctor looked too tired to engage with my daughter to make her feel comfortable. As I was leaving I had to hold my tears in

Review titled Exceptional care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Terry Bateman - Posted on 16 March 2023
My symptoms began on Thursday 23rd February 2023 and I rang for a GP appointment on Friday 24th morning and was given a GP consultation at 3:15p.m. The doctor assessed me and arranged for a nurse to take blood samples for analysis, I took them to West Cornwall to be couriered to Treliske. At midday on Saturday 25th March the doctor rang me to inform me of concerns on some results and tried to arrange for me to have X-rays / scan at Treliske but unfortunately was unable to. The doctor rang me back literally minutes later and had arranged for me to be seen at Redruth Acute GP service at 10a.m. on Sunday 26th March. I was seen promptly at Redruth Acute GP service, gave blood for analysis (back from lab within 20 minutes) an ECG and blood pressure test, an X-Ray and saw a doctor who gave further assessment of my symptoms and blood results, then he contacted Treliske and arranged for me to have a scan and by 11:15 was on my way to Truro. I went to scan department and was seen and scanned within 20 minutes of arriving and the Acute Care doctor rang me at 1:15 p.m. with the results and reassurance that my condition was treatable. In recent times there has been too much criticism levelled at the service provided by the NHS but my experience of being completely diagnosed within 48 hours of seeing my practise doctor at the weekend is an exceptional response to my issues. With grateful thanks to the doctors and nurses who dealt with my trauma.
