    Called to be seen as a temporary patient whilst in holiday. Had used the pharmacist to try and deal with the problem. When calling they point blank refused to see me, said I must send pictures to my own doctor in the Midlands. My friend is the manager of a practice and knows they shouldn’t refuse, but under no circumstance would they see me. Disgusting service.

We are sorry to learn that you have encountered an issue when trying to access care at the practice whilst on holiday. Our Patient Services Co-ordinators care navigate patients to the most appropriate clinician and this can include advising patients to contact their own GP practice in certain circumstances.     I had a problem with footfall, the computer booking and request system used by surgeries. In this instance the information it produced resulted in delayed appt to see Dr and resulted in A&E visit. I spoke to practice manager after the incident who was both interested and proactive. Investigating what had gone wrong, why it had gone wrong and implementing a new strategy to put the problem right, making sure it would not happen to another patient. She was very through, kind and helpful, which I felt encouraged by. This surgery has had some bad press over recent years, as have many, I know they are working hard to get back to providing a service both they want and the patients want. I think it only fair to give feedback on positive incidents, we all feel quick enough to review when something goes wrong but dont often give the praise when it had been a good service or experience so.......Thank you for all your help it really was appreciated.
