    Called this morning with help booking online, says you can’t book same day online but the woman on the phone then said I could. Got notified 50 mins prior to the appointment so called to see if it could be pushed back by an hour or any point today and the lady on the phone was rude and spoke to me as if I was stupid. Doesn’t cost to be nice

    Dear Ella, All appointments are available via our website, NHS App or by contacting the practice by telephone. On the website it guides you by explaining the service: "Same day urgent appointment requests will be responded to by a doctor on the day, and you will be offered the most appropriate appointment, we may not be able to give a time you prefer. Admin queries will be read by a member of the team within 2 working days. If you need more urgent help, call your GP. If your GP practice is closed, visit NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency call 999." If you cannot attend this same day urgent appointment as assessed by the doctor then you should inform the practice as soon as possible for further advice. I gather after speaking to the staff you were not available to attend the given appointment and they are working with you to assist in conjunction with the assessing doctor, you also did not specify these requirements on your assessment form you completed online. This information is important for the assessing clinician so they can advise you correctly clinically. Thank you, Mayfield Medical Practice

    My parents and I have been registered at the GP practice. Getting an appointment has always been a challenge due to busy phone lines and rude receptionists. Recently, they changed to a same-day appointment system, but the new online process is difficult for those not familiar with IT, like my parents. The form in the website is hard to navigate and not user-friendly, with multiple pages to fill out. My parents, in their late 60s, struggle to get appointments and suffer unless someone helps them to fill the form. A GP service should be more accessible than A&E, but this isn't the case. It feels like discrimination, and they aren't receiving proper care. I realise it is very likely that I'll receive a comment on this saying 'no issues have been notified to the GP'. That's because when I asked about the feedback from, I was told it is in the website, however,unable to find it. So may be need a website update as well

    Dear Anonymous, All appointments are available via our website, NHS App or by contacting the practice by telephone. For a same day urgent appointment you will be assessed by a doctor and booked with an appropriate clinician or service. You can book a same day urgent appointment by using our website or by contacting the practice by telephone. There has been no change to appointment systems during the time period in which you have left a review. If you identify an issue whereby a patient cannot use our online services you can advise them to contact the practice by telephone and speak to a member of staff, or you can assist them by using the online services on their behalf.     This surgery lacks efficiency. I handed in a form from my employer over 3 weeks ago. I have rung numerous times and I have been told the DR has not looked at it, so it has been sat in a bag all this time. I was rang just the other day and the amount this is going to be costing me is awful. Almost £100 for 3 tick boxes, suppose that’s because you can charge what you what because you know your patients need this. I have risked my employment being withdrawn because of this practice. Absolutely terrible service!

    Called to see when the next appointment was, due to a sensitive subject i needed a fit note for work, i was given an appointment that day and was called within the hour, the doctor was very understanding and helpful, so glad to have such good service after my traumatic few days. Thank you

    I have been with this GP surgery for over 10 years now, and can say its fantastic, it made me realise how poor my previous GP practices were. Never had problems getting through on the phone, and staff are always friendly and accommodating. Any issues i have had have always been dealt with effectively. I never feel rushed, and health concerns have been addressed. Highly recommend.

    Avoid this surgery at all costs. Really unhelpful. Fail to pick up phone in the mornings in a timely manner and then when you do eventually get through all the appointments have gone! No rhythm or reason as to how appointments are allocated apart from randomly- repeatedly told that no appointments available every day when ringing in- like ground hog day. When you ask to speak to Practice Manager they are never there!!!

    Called 220 times on 29/11/22 for an appointment. Finally got through and managed to book an appointment for 06/12/22 - shocker. Had to take 4 hours of unpaid holiday leave to attend appointment for the “nurse” to ask the same question a least 15 times and to tell me I’ve been taking my medication wrong (have ben taking since I was 18, I’m almost 30 now). Didn’t actually get around to the purpose of the appointment as the nurse consistently badgered me over the medication. I have never felt so humiliated in all my life. I walked out and told the nurse to forget about my appointment and I’d rebook to see someone else who actually had any decency. Called the practice once I had got home to complain for the receptionist to shrug it off as if that was a normal experience. I am a recent transfer from another GP that has closed but I am considering changing again to another GP that take you seriously as a patient.
