I have tried to call the GP for an emergency appointment instead of talking to a receptionist it was the automated service which was painful and stressful to use.

I called for an appointment, after a long wait, the receptionist answered. I had to repeat everything as she kept getting birthday, name etc wrong. Then when I said I had a bad cough which has got worse she asked if my mobile ended with the last three digits and said thank you bye. What does this mean? Will a Dr call back? Have I got an appointment? I tried calling back but i'm way down the queue. When you go to the surgery they never acknowledge you and carry on talking with each other. The surgery has gone downhill. I've been with them for over 20 years! Stuck with them as everywhere is full.
