    I was seen by the nurse for blood test & blood pressure check, she was absolutely lovely made me feel at ease & was very pleasant

    My 87 year old mother has been trying to get a often requested repeat prescription for days. The receptionist only response is that all appointments are taken up and refuses to help in any other way. No offer of a message to the doctor or manual prescription request just a quick dismissal of her needs. The "service" at this centre is appauling

    Hello Mr Bickley, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent experience at the practice. I am the Operations Manager at the practice and have been looking into this for you. I am sorry to hear about the experience that your mother has had when requesting her prescription. After reading your response I can see that the medication being requested was an antibiotic, as such we cannot simply issue it on request, the patient would need an appointment with a clinician to ascertain if antibiotics were required. I understand this may seem difficult, but I assure you that the practice is acting in the interests of patient care. After reviewing the notes I can see that a telephone consultation was attempted on the 4th January multiple times and there was no answer. The clinician has then successfully contacted the patient on the 5th January. If there is an element of this query that I am missing, or if there are still any aspects of it unresolved, please contact us directly via gmicb-old.icgmedlock@nhs.net and I will investigate it further for you.     Avoid at all costs unhelpful rude staff. Spent 50 minutes trying t get through f an appointment got t position 1 and was cut off. Nobody willing to listen or help there attitude is disgraceful.

    Spent several hours trying to get through. Again! You get put in a cue that takes 25-30 + minutes to get to number one, only to have the phone picked up and slammed back down when they finally decide to answer. Being unable to get through on the phone is now becoming a regularity. I come from a customer service background and would have been sacked for such behaviour towards customer.

I am sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience of reaching the practice via the phone. I have looked into this with the Manager at the practice and we have reviewed the call logs. I would like to assure you that a member of our team would not put the phone down on you. My colleague has reviewed the phone logs, but without specific information regarding dates/times it is somewhat difficult.     The staff members don’t answer the phone. I was waiting as caller number 8 for about 45 mins, then it got down to 6 and after 2 hours of waiting they hung up before answering, then i tried again and they hung up yet again because they can’t be bothered to answer the phone. Awful

    I joined Medlock Medical Practise and I'm so very glad I did. The Care, Compassion, Kindness & Understanding from the Staff & Medical Team is Outstanding in my opinion. Also I noticed that when the Senior Partner was leaving the Practise yesterday evening, he took time to converse with the all the patients in the waiting room. Respect....
