I feel so fortunate to have Medwyn as my local GP. I have received nothing but excellent treatment from all staff, especially when my 1 year old has been unwell and I’ve been a panicking first time mum. Dr Monella is a brilliant doctor and very personable. Can always get an appointment and always receive a quick phone call when needed. Thank you to all the staff there, so are so appreciated!

Always treated with dignity and respect. Always listened to and reassured that I am getting the treatment I need. Every staff member I have seen has been wonderful. If I was an inspector I would rate outstanding.

From blood tests through prescriptions and follow up the team work in perfect harmony. They are careful to fully explain and listen carefully to any of my questions or answers. I am often reflecting that the service at my surgery is exemplary

Medwyn always respond promptly and appropriately to requests made through the website. The whole family are able to see a doctor quickly if needed - and children in particular are seen within hours of requesting an appointment. We consider ourselves very lucky as other people seem to be always unable to see someone. My only request is that you make it so that people can request an appointment out of hours. If up with a sick child in the early hours, it would be good to be able to access the appointment request form at say 3am rather than having to wait until 7am when everyone is awake and the house is busy. It used to be possible to do this, but something has changed on the website.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback. As you mention, when the online portal was first used we did have it open and available 24/7. Unfortunately though this resulted in huge numbers of requests which should have been dealt with by the Out of Hours/111 rather than waiting for the GP surgery to open. to ensure patient safety and our ability to manage the demand during our opening hours, we have had to restrict access so that it starts at 6am and finishes at 5.30pm.
