Medwyn always respond promptly and appropriately to requests made through the website. The whole family are able to see a doctor quickly if needed - and children in particular are seen within hours of requesting an appointment. We consider ourselves very lucky as other people seem to be always unable to see someone. My only request is that you make it so that people can request an appointment out of hours. If up with a sick child in the early hours, it would be good to be able to access the appointment request form at say 3am rather than having to wait until 7am when everyone is awake and the house is busy. It used to be possible to do this, but something has changed on the website.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feedback. As you mention, when the online portal was first used we did have it open and available 24/7. Unfortunately though this resulted in huge numbers of requests which should have been dealt with by the Out of Hours/111 rather than waiting for the GP surgery to open. to ensure patient safety and our ability to manage the demand during our opening hours, we have had to restrict access so that it starts at 6am and finishes at 5.30pm. Having moved to Medwyn in the last year I’ve found them head and shoulders ahead of my previous practise in service, willingness to listen and attitude to helping. It is also much easier to make appointments and the wait for an appointment is shorter. All staff have been courteous and caring. Thank you Medwyn.

Was delighted to attend an appointment within 3 hours of filling in a request. Very positive experience, with GP identifying my issue and giving helpful, friendly advice. Would definitely recommend, based on this visit.

Helpful medical staff. Clean and tidy waiting area. Clean toilets Good other services available on the same site for physio foot problem etc , helpful chemist area, very happy with Doctors and how they deal with patient's.

I got referred to this doctors by a family member as they’ve had such a good experience and I can safely say the staff are all amazing, never have I been to a doctors surgery like it! When calling, the receptionist are so polite and friendly and when I was trying to push my daughters appointment back they managed to get me squeezed in and seen for her cough. The doctor himself was exceptional, made sure my daughter was comfortable as she was really shy and nervous. He listened to my concerns (which I can say my previous surgery didn’t overly do). Overall a great experience!

Making, rearranging and checking in for an appointment is easy. Reception staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Nurse was efficient and friendly. The whole process is smooth and you are treated with respect, professionalism and empathy.
