I wanted to praise the receptionist I spoke to when making an appointment for my low mental health. The receptionist was kind, personable, and constantly reassuring and positive. She was so lovely to speak to and made me feel a lot better. She arranged my appointment and I then had a doctor call same day who arranged the suitable help.

I sought help via 111 for new and unexplained pain near my lymph nodes. The call handler said I would get a call back from the Yew Tree Drive surgery the following day, which didn’t happen. Another day later, I called the surgery to ask about the status of my case and was told it was on a ”do-not-defer list” so I should get a call back as a matter of urgency. Another day later I had still not heard back, so called again. This time I was told the query had been deferred and I should expect a call hopefully within 10 working days. I felt frustrated having been chasing the surgery unnecessarily. If I’d known to expect 10+ days I would have just accepted that and waited. In the end, I did get a text with an appointment time within a week, which I was happy with. I got to see a GP who examined me and referred me on to the QA for ultrasound and mammogram (which also happened within a week). My experience at the surgery was a positive one, with the exception of the parking. I arrived early, but the car park was full so I waited for 10 minutes to see if any spaces opened up. No cars left but others kept arriving, also waiting, blocking the road in and out. I ended up having to park in the disabled bay and apologised about this to reception who just said they were aware of the parking challenges and would let me know of any issues while I was with the GP.

Total and completely unimpressed by this practice. Have been trying to see a doctor for about three years. Originally phone calls were received the Response that they were too busy and hung up. Later I received a long drawn out diatribe explaining that I shouldn't be calling them and should talk to anyone else only then to be told that I was 37th or 25th or some other ludicrous number wh8ch meant I would not be spoken to for an unacceptable time. Eventually I visited Whiteley surgery during the extremely restricted time when they would talk to someone. I filled in the form and they did nothing, I then repeated the booking and eventually received a booking. I attended the surgery only to find that I was booked to another surgery and had not been offered transport to visit the surgery at which I was not registered and which was not the surgery of my allocated GP. The staff were dismissive and stated that they had 39000 patients so I would just have to put up with it.

I had a follow up telephone appointment. During the phone call the gp decided he needed me to attend the surgery and fitted me in there and then. He was very thorough and pleasant. Unfortunately the outcome was not as I would like but due to constraints on the NHS

Am pleased with my care over the years from the surgery. Although I have not seen a Doctor for a long time I have phone calls and everyone is pleasant and I feel they are trying to help me and keep me going and in reasonable health now I am older. If I have a concern I call into the surgery and am contacted quite quickly. I have regular blood tests by the nurses and again results come quickly. I also find the chemist next door helpful and good with the prescriptions thank you. I do find it difficult to phone up about anything but as I live not too far away it is not a problem for me to call in and everyone is helpful and pleasant when I do.

Placed an online Anima request, after several weeks of it not progressing from submitted, I sent a referral request letter. Was advised unable to refer and needed a routine appointment. Called to book routine appointment outside of the 8am call window as your on hold for hours to be told not taking routine appointments and they were unable to give a time frame but it could be several weeks just for the request to be processed with an appointment weeks further on. I then reviewed a response saying my Anima request due to lack of response. It again called the surgery to ascertain what was happening, to find out the Triange Team had closed my online request as I hadn’t responded to a form the GP was supposed to have sent, of which I never received. The form was subsequently sent and immediately completed and returned. On month later, after no response, I called a third time. The helpful receptionist was unable to assertain the status of my request and it was still closed. The receptionist reopened it and the I was informed that the referral was placed though as yet I have not received anything to confirm this has actually happened weeks later. Luckily this is not that request that requires urgency or could significantly worsen resulting in a deterioration in health. However, this could well be the case for someone else and I have concerns that elderly patients who struggle with the online system are receiving substandard patient care and poor professionalism fed played by the triage team in simply closing a request without ascertaining the facts.

I went for a pre-destined blood test. Hardly seeing a doctor. I have multiple things wrong with and you have made it virtually impossible to get an appointment. I haven’t seen my, or any GP there for 6 years. In fact I’ve got more chance of meeting the King in the Co-Op than I have of seeing my (or any) doctor. Dr H was a young man when you used to be able to get an appointment. He’s probably retired now…!!! I’m sure you are not alone at offering no service, and I’m sure it’s not all your fault. Successive useless governments, more managers than qualified physicians etc. Anyway, if you fancy giving me an appointment then it would be much appreciated. If not, I’ll just continue to suffer like the other 95% of your patients. Thanks for not a lot.
