  1. Review titled What a caring practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024

After having a total knee replacement the surgery have been really fantastic with some issues I had before and after my surgery. I have had to phone twice in less than three days and each time they have seen me straight away in a very kind caring sympathetic manner. I was also told to ring anytime if I needed to if things didn’t improve. Thank you Mill Road Surgery.

  2. Review titled Thank you Dr M

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emma Good - Posted on 15 April 2024

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. M for the exceptional care she has provided to my 4-year-old daughter. Since November 23rd, my daughter has had Scarlet Fever, Epstein Barr Virus, and mesenteric adenitis, experiencing persistent abdominal pain and frequent infections. Throughout this challenging period, Dr. M has been both supportive and compassionate. Not only has she attentively listened to my concerns, but she has also demonstrated genuine care and empathy towards my daughter. Dr. M’s proactive approach in expediting referrals and exploring various treatment options has been instrumental in alleviating my daughter's symptoms and providing much-needed relief. Her kind and gentle demeanor have created a comforting environment for my daughter, who, despite undergoing numerous blood tests, eagerly anticipates her visits to Dr. M’s office, eagerly awaiting her sticker. Dr. M’s dedication to her patients' well-being is truly commendable, and I am immensely grateful for her unwavering commitment to providing exceptional healthcare.

Callback feature is brilliant. I phoned the surgery a couple of weeks ago and there was a very long waiting list of people trying to get through. I had the option of callback feature. It was brilliant.

  5. Review titled Caring and compassionate

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The surgery are great. All the staff, from reception to the GPs, are really kind, effective and compassionate every time I’ve had to contact or attend. The new call back system works really well to aid with contact when you need to call at those very busy times of day.

  6. Review titled Very ,very very difficult to get to see a doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 May 2024

I needed to see a doctor a few times at the beginning of the year. Firstly, it wasn't easy to make an appointment. When I rang initially, I was informed by a recorded message the telephone queuing service was full - this despite ringing the second the telephone appointments service opened. When I eventually spoke to someone, after a few days, I could only get an appointment with a paramedic. I had the same experience twice in February of the same year. Today, my wife called to try to get an appointment and was told by a recorded message that ''The telephone queue is full, please call back later.'' I am sure the staff at the practice are hard-working and dedicated, but they are fighting an uphill battle trying to provide for their patients. This is a growing experience among GP surgeries, as demand outstrips availability - an ever-increasing problem in the NHS, with little evidence that there will be any improvement. In the end, I had to go to a private GP and pay using my savings to resolve my issue.

Feel very lucky to be registered with this practice. Have always been able to get an appointment if needed. The reception team are really well trained and so helpful. The new call call system is great and the duty Dr system works well. Thank you to all staff :-)

  8. Review titled Brilliant Call back facility

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2024

I have been a patient at this practice for 15 years and would highly recommend it. The only problem has been having to call at 8am for an appointment. As the practice got busier I had times when I was 50 something in the queue and was on hold for nearly an hour. They have listened to patients concerns and are now using a call back system so that you don't have to stay on hold. It is brilliant.

  9. Review titled Women’s Health

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katie - Posted on 22 December 2023

The practice has always been helpful and considerate regarding women’s health. Recently, I attended the menopause workshop which was extremely informative and helpful. It was also useful in bringing ladies together and learning from other people’s questions.

  10. Review titled Patient focused

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Martin Freedman - Posted on 29 August 2023

The practice offers an excellent service to a growing number of patients in this area. Yes, they are busy and it can take a while to get through or book an appt., but that is because they are so popular. In my experience, patients are always treated respectfully and Mill Rd is a great example of how an NHS practice should be.
