    My Dr who I wish I could name, has been incredible, as have all the staff at Millbank. I haven't really had the need to visit the surgery but when I needed them most I was called within 20 minutes and appointments made for MRI scans with days, The follow up had been amazing and calls to see how I am were kind and timely. I know not everyone has the same experience with the NHS but mine has been above excellent from Millbank Medical and I am very happy to be a patient at this excellent practice. Thank you

    I contacted the surgery 3 weeks ago via the ‘Patches’s system. My own GP contacted me that very same day and I was able to start medication that same day. The receptionist was kind and helpful when I called to check that the message had been received. This is a really excellent practice and would whole heartedly recommend it with really great, dedicated clinicians.

    Multiple issues with appointments always delays after delays Other half has heart issues & other needs which you have failed to even do referral's on time or within set time frames Reception staff are plain rude & uncaring always sat on there phones or hiding the back ( not even joking on this ) Last month you wanted 7 hrs to call back only when I walked in you suddenly arranged for a duty doctor within 5 min to see my other half which turned out to be something more then a simple appointment thank god you managed to sort out a fast track text for a&e ( Surprised you did that without messing it up ) The process has started in changing GP's due to how unsafe My other half feels with the treatment & during appointments

    Very unhelpful when I receive letter for again to take me off register saying that I need documents but very uneasy giving personal information to them as I've heard some really bad stories of reception staff.will probably let it go as I would prefer to go hospital as staff being very unprofessional and not chance of complaining as I think it goes to the person that looks at it

    Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your post - we serve the local population. Particularly for people living out of our area who have complex issues or need additional services (eg mental health teams or district nurses or health visitors) it is beneficial and in people's interest to register with a local GP to access these.     I have high blood pressure and I was surprised when I was told, at the annual review, that my urine sample would not be tested for protein. I bought home testing strips online. I was worried as my annual blood test shows reduced kidney function although the GP marks it as normal. Some months later I had my urine tested and it contained protein but the result was marked as “abnormal but not unexpected”. I was not contacted by the surgery but I rang and asked if I could repeat the test as the specimen had been so dilute. I was told this was unnecessary but I had not had any protein in the urine on home testing. I changed to another practice after having a request for inhalers refused because I was thought to be over-using. The GP had rung and asked me to use the inhalers regularly after seeing changes on the chest X-ray and I had seen that the Peak Flow had improved on the new regime. All staff are polite and friendly now, so different from previous years. The premises are clean and tidy. Maybe I was unlucky but I feel I did not receive the best care.

    Have had a bad experience almost every time I come here. Have spent two weeks trying to get an appointment and finally got one today because the online booking system shows no appointments at all well into january however there are appointments available The dr I saw to me referred me to a cancer specialist however the referral seemed to contain mostly information about my “medicated depression” which this practice did not diagnose or treat me for. I was also asked what my name was halfway through the consultation Really really appalling, pathetic level of service

As our appointments system serves both those who need a GP as well as a nurse or HCA, and those with both urgent and routine issues, we do have a variety of appointments available. We also are reachable via electronic consult (PATCHS) as well as telephone and face to face. The reception team can help to guide you to the most appropriate appointment. Recognising that the demand is high we also have neighbouring teams who can offer evening and weekend appointments. Best, Dr McLaughlin

    I had a problem with my prescription today and as always the wonderful staff on reception,Were extremely professional, very helpful and very kind. I have been with this first class practice for some 20 years and can’t recommend them highly enough.

    They are sympathetic They gat back to you They care for elderly patients They are efficient and kind They try hard not to leave patients you sitting in pain They also treat dogs like people which is usually better than the other way round.

    My husband has complex medical needs. When he felt unwell last week. I phoned for a telephone appointment with the duty doctor. The reception staff member was helpful and sympathetic. Within the same hour I received a phone call from a doctor. She was so kind and requested that we come for a face to face appointment the same morning to assess my husband in person. At this appointment, she was compassionate in care and understood exactly what his pain was and was eager to alleviate it. She was hugely empathetic. When I mentioned that I had a cough, she examined me too, to establish that I am well. She discussed that the carer sometimes forgets to care for themselves as well as they do their loved one. I found that insightful. The kind care and compassion that we have received from all members of the team, from reception & support staff, nurses and doctors at Millbank for the last 20years that our family have been patients has been outstanding and astounding. We really do appreciate you all.
