Review titled Heartless staff, impossible to get appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 November 2024
Sadly I was hospitalised at the beginning of the week with high levels of blood infection and dehydration and after being discharged they told me I need tests immediately from my gp , 3 days trying and no appointments, what makes it worse is that I explained I have been in hospital and I am still in a lot of pain , and the self righteous med sec just said no appointments you will just have to keep trying basically not my problem, I they rang back and basically had to beg to get spoken to… the Second Lady I spoke to was completely different and said she would get someone to call me she could here I was distressed and very ill, she was lovely so why was the first women so obtuse, zero empathy, which made me feel like the NHS doesn’t care and clearly there are appointments available you are just power mongering and giving them to who you like, how dare you. The phone call was at 8:38am on 7/11/24 I suggest you replay and use it to get the lady in question either in a more suitable role that doesn’t involve talking to the general public (mop and bucket) or give her the appropriate training. People shouldn’t be made to feel like their health doesn’t matter. Quite frankly it’s disgusting and these servants shouldn’t be in the role they are in.

The surgery is open 8.00am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Once a month, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month we close (as do all the Surgeries in Mansfield & Ashfield) for Mandatory protected learning time/staff training. We do put posters up in the surgery to inform patients we will be closed. I will take this comment on board and look at putting the closure information on the surgery website.

Review titled Forget Trying To Get An Appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by AndyB - Posted on 25 July 2024
3 consecutive mornings tried to get an appointment. Day 2 was 11th in queue but was told all appointments had gone when spoke to receptionist - so clearly less than 10 appointments available. What do the Doctors actually do all day? Today phone at 8 on the dot just to get a recoded message saying the practice is full to capacity and no appointments available and suggest go to the A & E walk-in centre. I thought we were advised not to go to A & E unless it was an absolute emergency! Also says a future appointment can be made online - the first one is in 24 days. Absolutely dire service verging on utter incompetence - shame on you. No longer any professionalism in the NHS at all.

Review titled Appointments

Got in the call queue at exactly 08.00 to get the message no appointments left for today This was at 08.01, a bit confused how all the appointments can be gone in 1 minute. As it must take at least 30 seconds to answer a call and book in an appointment.

My partner went in today and the receptionist was very rude. Only popped in to ask a question and she was very rude towards her. Can never get a appointment and rude receptionists.

Review titled Would be a great practise if you could get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5

Been trying on and off to see a dr for months now. It’s. A waste of time ringing at 8 am every morning for nearly an hour at a time. Because you can’t get one as they’ve just told me, they give all the appointments to who ever arrives at the drs surgery that morning at 8am. So basically if you don’t live local or are mobile you won’t get a an appointment.

b) Thank you for your comments, I am sorry you were dissatisfied with the service you received. To enable us to look into this further, if you would like to collect a complaint form from reception and return it, we would be happy to investigate. Patients who ring at 8.00 are dealt with the same way as patients who attend surgery at 8.00. Unfortunately due to GP shortages we have a limited number of appointments available and cannot always meet the demand of appointments. We are always grateful for patient feedback and appreciate the time you have taken to provide this.
